  3. Definitely a unique flavor compared to peaches in the States. With that said I've cooked a lot of pork Tenderloins using a peach preserves mixture. Peaches and pork go well together.

  4. Foton, I see someone is keeping an eye of what's cooking. I'm guessing it is the roast that is interest point but who knows it could be the pie.

  5. Quandong is a wild, desert peach type fruit native to Australia. Both the nut and fruit can be eaten. It is a hemiparasitic plant which uses the roots and base of other plants to get the majority of it's water and nutrients. This has made it a difficult plant to cultivate. Although some orchards now exist a large portion of the available fruit is still harvested in the wild. A huge shout out to @Aussie Ora for giving me the opportunity to experience this exotic fruit. I started by poking with a fork and marinating for a bit in peach infused white balsamic vinegar. I rubbed them down with Bush Tomato Seasoning. For grilling I had a dredge plate of the Quandong and Chilli Sauce. Grilled direct for a few minutes, dredging them in the sauce along the way. Very tasty. This was an excellent choice for a quick weeknight meal with an exotic sweet peachy flavor.

  11. She is the stealth model and is very quiet when she wants to be. Otherwise she tries to do this, the table is off limits, especially she has grown since this photo was taken!

  12. Someone recommended using a torch to heat the smoking pot... it works but it gets really hot quick. Here I was at 200 degrees grill temp and the smoke was cranking out. It's settled a bit now so it smells great and thin blue

  25. Syzygies inspired spaghetti. I decided to grind some organic Durum wheat berries and make some spaghetti. I ground the berries and then used the Wolfgang Mock fine sieve to remove some of the bran and used about 60:20 mix of the durum and bought semolina flours. Here is the pasta dough ready to roll out. One piece rolled out and ready to cut. I will be doing this again.:) Cut to make spaghetti. Plated.
