  1. You really need to make that short drive to Syracuse to touch & feel the 19"KK. You think you have the fever now.............wait until you see a KK in person. We will fire that puppy up and let you handle the controls!!!!!!

  3. LOL Gas burner support.. There are sleeves in the floor of your grill. These stainless supports slide into them. Their height can be adjusted. They just take some of the weight off the two rods on the gas burner door assembly.

  4. First suggestion....................let your wife pick the color Second suggestion................matte black pebble (i'm color blind). Third suggestion..............if tiles............go with the terra cotta tiles. They give a little extra contrast to the color.

  7. For the starter: 1/2 cup warm water 1/2 cup flour 1/2 teaspoon dry active yeast - mix well and refrigerate overnight For the dough: 1 package active dry yeast 2 teaspoons sugar 3/4 cup warm water - mix and let stand 15 minutes - add starter from day before (reserve 1/4 cup if you want to keep your starter going), plus: 3 tablespoons lard 2 teaspoons fine salt about 3 cups flour, or as needed (I used 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour and 1 1/2 cups bread flour) water to spray tops of loaves Enjoy this bread! 10. That's an empirical question. In fact, both the friction feeling and the sound are similar feedback loops to playing a musical instrument, and even other species get pretty good at making music. I had other, softer old-school (presoak) water stones, e.g. Japanese from Hida Tools, and the Norton combo stones. It was less fun, more hassle to get started so I wouldn't, and what I'm getting now is twice as sharp. Not sure where the idea of checking a knife with one's finger came from (or cutting paper), seems a parlor trick like manipulating the smoke ring for judges with blown-out taste buds. I notice these are much sharper on actual kitchen tasks, like thinly slicing across the grain of less-than-ideal ginger, or slicing salumi as thin as the vacuum packs of already prepared slices. I can believe a machine could do a good job, though I'm suspicious after the machines I've actually used. Again an empirical question. People who use angle assistance on stones like these view them as clumsy training wheels, that they ditch as soon as possible.

  11. I raise New Zealand.s. (3 does with 1 buck) If you get the fodder system down the cost is almost nothing. I feed fodder for day feed and grass clippings for night feed. The secret to healthy animals is on demand fresh water. (cheap to do) Joe

  12. I'm surprised @Garvinque hasn't already made that trek. Heck, I'm almost tempted by that offer, but I already have a KK and Syracuse is a wee bit chilly and snowy this time of year.

  16. Kk have the finance option maybe you could ring Dennis see if he would take a deposit and hold one for you until you save the coin .Dennis is a very reasonable person to talk to and I'm sure he would not bat an eyelid over 4 months .I started out on a kj classic .then the Jr .I love my classic have done some great cooks on it.and when I got the joetisserie that was a game changer but noticed a few imperfections but for the price that's cool .I was always lurking on the KK section on Guru slowly admiring how built they were and the built in rotisserie. Then some lowlife scum changed my life and stole my pride and joy a triumph street triple one of the last built at Hinkley .all I was left with was my insurance money I was so tempted to get another bike like so tempted lol but this is now or never I decided on the 23 mid range perfect for my needs and at a price I could compftably afford and still be able to afford a steak to cook on it.lol.i say give Dennis a call Outback Kamado Bar and Grill

  19. This is about $550 per kitchen, and I did it twice. I'm easily amused, but my knives are about twice as sharp as I thought humanly possible. This thrills me every single night, worth the price of admission. (One needs some holder, there are inexpensive alternatives. One needs some flattener, I don't trust other choices with the finer grade stones. If one skimps, the starter set is $264 + some way to hold stones + some way to flatten stones.) 22. Bosco everything you said makes sense but I do have to wait until May before I make the jump into KK ownership. If the 22's are still available at that time something to consider.

  23. Knowing that you are preferring the black pebble...... knowing that the 22" high caps are still available on a discounted rate... knowing that the 22" has black pebble available.... I am not sure why you haven't pulled the trigger yet. This is the perfect opportunity to own all the benefits of the larger grill that you are after, in the tile pattern you prefer, at a price that is fantastic.... Life is short and my friend it is time that you join the ranks of your fellow KK friends!

  25. Dumplings sound tasty. Soju = rock gut (IMHO). Think cheap sake. Only tried it a couple of times. The first was a liter bottle that I paid like $12 for (I'm shocked college kids haven't jumped on this bandwagon, as it's a much cheaper drunk than beer!) Second time was at a dinner and it was supposed to be "higher quality" soju in the little bottles. Not a huge improvement to my taste buds.

  26. We have been thinking about getting a kitten for our big puppy as a companion but it would have to be a feisty breed to take on a German Shepherd female (19mo old) 82 pounds. She loves to play and can totally wear us out.

  27. What are you talking about "too hot to grill". I never heard such a silly thing. A cold beer solves that problem.
