  1. I wanted to cook these chicken breasts at 400. I set my vents to where I thought they should be - and I just couldn't make it work. At 390-dgrees, there's no way these things were any good, so in the trash they went. I hope you figured out by now that I am joking.

  3. grills have arrived, great packaging Dennis! Teak table crate was smashed from the bottom, but table is fine!! used a skid steer to get it to the back out door kitchen, the smaller one is still crated as the deck is being built. It took 4 of use just to get it off that little box in the middle of the crate, unbelievable build quality seeing these things for the first time is impressive! getting ready to burn in today so that we can cook tomorrow for Father's Day. Quick question would rain affect the burn in process if I have it rolled out from under the gazebo? High-class problem do I burn with coffee wood charcoal or coconut charcoal...this is gonna be great! thanks Again Dennis! oh where do I find the grate...for the bottom? Is that in the box with the wrench? cheers, BJ

  4. This one is for you @Aussie Ora. I saw something similar cruising the internet. A light bulb went off in my head. Never thought to put vinegar in an adult beverage but hey I'm willing to try anything at least once. Besides the Peach White Balsamic vinegar is so good you can sip it straight from the bottle. Bellini's are sort of a girlie drink but add a shot of Voda to man it up a little - LOL Anywho, 1 oz Peach White Balsamic vinegar, 1 oz 90 proof vodka, fill the glass with a sweet champagne. Dang that was good. As I type this a tear is streaming down my face - the last of my Peach White Balsamic but at least I put it to good use.

  7. A friend of mine from upstate New York posted this article on a recipe that brought back some great child hood memories. The ingredients are really simple and I expect most of us have them in their pantries. I tried it and I think it has become my new favorite for grilled chicken. for the poultry rub, I used Dizzy Pig IPA; probably not what they used back in the day but it is one of my favorite rubs. BBQ sauce Thunder storms are moving in but we're not askeered. Kebabs go on. I tried out a new german grocery store that just opened up (Lidl) and picked up about 6 boneless skinless chicken thighs and a bunch of boneless chicken breasts. One funny thing was the boneless thigh package had a boneless breast in it. I cut them up and added to the skewers. I brushed them with EVOO and added salt and pepper before thinking about how much salt was in the sauce. It wasn't too salty and I would do the same next time. I basted and turned them pretty often moving them around the grill to make sure they were cooking fairly evenly. Just about finished up. This recipe was awesome. There was plenty of sauce in this recipe and I still have at least half of it left in the fridge. I also cooked all of the chicken breasts but didn't grab any pics. I plan on eating them this week.

  9. Crab stuffed lobster tail doused in white balsamic vinegar, melted butter and sprinkled with Outback Pride lemon mrytle flakes. Pan fried crab cakes. Red wine vinegar and fresh Blueberry feta cheese salad. Served with a sour dough bread bowl filled with tomato bisque and topped with sour dough croutons, crab meat and fresh thyme. The soup was seasoned with Outback Pride Bush Tomato seasoning, Old Bay, fresh cracked Tasmanian Pepper Berries and Pink Himalayan Salt. Really wasn't into taking pictures tonight but I got one. 14. That's interesting, the way he was slamming the lid/dome down to close it gives one the impression that he never figured out how the KK works. If Dennis is continually sending him new KK's I would think it certainly would be nice to give more positive press to he KK's. Yes, I know his show is not dedicated to ceramic cookers, but hey, we all know how good these cookers and I would think he should give more Kudos to Dennis and his team.

  15. Yes, that is generally how I plan to use my Milwaukee blower. I like that it's cordless, and infinitely variable. Before this I was creating towering infernos in 30 seconds with a small shop vac, but that was overkill.

  26. That would be awesome! We'll have to look at our schedule, but we have a pretty crazy summer going on. In 2 weeks, we head to China for a 2.5 week river cruise. And I'm on a huge project at work that looks like it will have me travelling off and on through the end of October. Including a trip 5 days after we return from China :S I think I'll have a better idea of what travel I'll need to do after that initial trip. If things go smoothly, I might get out of some of it. One of these days, me and the missus need to swing by your place. I want to check out that Blackstone and see if I can convince her it's worth it.
