  1. I'm in. I'll take ten and my friend will take five.
  2. No problemo. Just let me know when you have it figured out. I know someone who will buy five boxes if you like.
  3. No problem Jackie. Just do me a favor and drop me an email when you place the order. If I don't hear from you in the next week I'll assume you're not going to do it an I'll place an order with Dennis.
  4. I can't wait. Let me know as soon as you're taking orders.
  5. I'm thinking of doing two 15-20 lb chuck rolls and 2-3 8 lb pork butts. Do you think I can fit that all in one cook if I use the double grill? How would I time the cook? To have it ready for the fourth I was thinking of putting the chuck rolls on around noon on the third and the pork butts before I go to bed. Remove in the AM and wrap in the cooler. Shred right before 1pm. Does that sound right? Anyone ever try a cook this big? How did it go?
  6. Also... Cleaning up a lot of the dated posts might make it easier to navigate. Then again, Dennis does such a great job with his cookers I can live with a cluttered website with no problem.
  7. Allow me to share my experience. I purchased a KK in November of last year and immediately fell in love with it. It was easy to start and use and the workmanship is of the highest quality. It makes cooking a pleasure and I must admit there is a zen like satisfaction in seeing your Komodo smoking in the breeze as it cooks a delicious meal. It's just a pleasure to see and use in every imaginable way. Unfortunately, there was a problem that developed over time with my KK caused by a defective part, NOT a manufacturing error. In recent weeks my KK became more and more difficult to operate properly and Dennis' helpful and timely advice failed to address the issue. I must admit I was concerned because it was a sizable investment and obviously you take a leap of faith when you buy anything over the internet. Today I came home from work and sitting in my driveway is a brand new Komodo, sent by Dennis completely free of charge. He could have given me a small refund or told me tough luck. But this is a man who takes pride in his business, his reputation and his product, for good reason. He made good in every conceivable way and you can be sure if you are on the fence about making the plunge, Dennis will do everything possible to make you a satisfied customer. I hope to sell 100 of these things if I can and I can't speak highly enough of Dennis or his product. Amazing! Joe Y- [email protected]
  8. I'm in Northern Westchester. Pleasantville to be exact. I'm in on some coal if you like.
  9. Check your email Dennis. The situation has deteriorated.
  10. Thanks. If anyone can direct me to a link I would be much obliged, I can't seem to find it.
  11. About a month ago I tightened my spring and since then my KK will not close all the way. The right side closes flush but the left side has about a half inch gap. I've gone so far as to take the entire top off the unit and remove the spring and it STILL won't close. Doing slow and low cooks has been impossible unless I seal it with packing tape, not exactly my ideal solution. Dennis has tried to help but with the time difference it's very hard to hook up. I have someone here who can help today so if anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears. Before the spring tightening the unit opened and closed fully but loosening the spring does not help now. Thanks, Joe
  12. I'll take it either way. I'm not overly concerned about "global warming" which I refer to as "cyclical global warming"
