Here is something I just realized. The heat deflector stones can be used for pizza too and since there are two of them it is less than 1/2 the weight each (they are a wee bit smaller overall).

I just found another benefit of the BB32. The "Heat Deflector Stones" can be used for pizza or bread baking and although they are not quite as large as the BB32 Pizza Stone each half is much easier to move around or just use one of them!

Welcome to the KK fan club! You are going to have a long time of enjoyment out of your cooker. I don't know if you have cooked on any other kamado style cookers before but you purchased the RollsvvRoyce of cookers. Not sure exactly where you are in the Puget Sound area but if you are ever up for a Group Buy on any of the products please let me know since I am on the other side of the Sound from Seattle. Cheers! Mom passed away many years ago (I am 70 yrs old). She made it to 68 before pancreatic cancer got her, which was not the source of those surgeries, that was Crohns Disease and back in the 1940's-1970's there was not much to do with it if it was causing ulcerative colitis, so chopping out intestine was the method. Pretty gruesome... She is at least at rest now. You have one more week with "The Pin". Maybe make a ring out of it as a reminder to not stick your hand into things that crush, bang, bump and grind?? Pain is a wonderful reminder of what not to do. I have described some of my close calls to friends and relayed the experiences of my family and one of the remarks that always amused me was , "Maybe I should not be standing to close to you". On the other hand I have been incredibly lucky in spite of the things that have happened to me. A girlfriend once said to me, as the car we just flipped end over end down a rural highway came to rest, "boy are you lucky" since neither one of was hurt; the car was trashed. Getting run off the road by a drunk and left in the dark 50 miles from a town was an interesting experience!

Nice Thread to quality cast iron cookware, thanks!! It figures, Finex is a Portland Oregon company. Another reason to go south for another visit to the Rose City, good coffee, good doughnuts and now cast iron cookware!

Dan, how long do the batteries last? What kind of batteries are they?

Say FastGlass, did you get the roti for your 32? I got one with the 32 I just received a week or so ago. The setup went fairly well and surprisingly the wing table will work with this motor, although not seated fully.

Found all the pieces and more! Put the roti in and have parts left over. That sort of worries me but....

No need to rattle Dennis' cage for the answer, I was just curious since I do know that teak and stainless are heavy, Perfect for rolling on flat ground. The rollers that Dennis uses are pretty nice; I cannot believe how well the BB32 rolls!

Interesting, I have never heard of this wood. Do you have another name for it? I know in the West the hardest wood I have encountered in Madrone, then the various species of Oak and then there is Pepperwood, sometimes called Myrtle but never heard of the wood you mentioned. What sort of environment was it found in?

"The Money Pit", a good movie and since rehabbing this 100 year old home I can honestly say we are living in the same sort of pit, except it is a waterfront home and the value of the land will not likely fall apart

Thank you Tony The next step is a method of storing the grills, stones, charcoal and smoking woods. I have a plan but who knows when it will happen. Our clothes dryer died yesterday and that means the washing machine is not far behind, they both are 22 years old so I figure they have lasted long enough and time to find new ones. The fun never stops ...

Isn't copy/paste easier? Bringing up the topic of web site improvements why not have a Print feature for a particular Post? Like trying to print a recipe...

Using the little wishbone only allows me to share the Post with other sites, not within this site. Maybe I am missing something but I sure would like to know since referencing another Post by the Thread and the Post Number is handy. I am using several different Forums for other hobbies and being able to share within the Forum is a nice feature.
