  1. Re: Forestlumps charcoal I got two boxes which is the minimum order. Two bags per box twenty pounds total. I have only opened one bag but was a little disapointed in the size of the "lumps" I would discribe them as chips. They did burn well easy to light and lasted a long time. Have yet to clean the ash yet so I can't comment on that. I bought this charcoal to stretch my CoConut charcoal and for that purpose it works well. I layered the bottom of my basket with CC,about six sticks, and filled to the half way point with Forestlumps. Did a four hour cook @250+ for baby back ribs. Then opened it up and grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. As usual with my KK seven hours later I'm stll @400+ degrees and could easily cook another meal. Never ceases to amaze me how efficient the KK is in burning charcoal. As for the Forestlump I'll give it a thumbs up but Dennis's CoConut Charcoal is the best.

Re: banned My message was, Warning Migration Information DNS change to new host. Seems as if someone picks on this site a lot. If they spent there time grilling instead of hacking the world would be a better place
  3. Re: KK & Korin Konro... I think the pictures are fine. Fun grill. I bought a ceramic pot for extinguishing the binchotin. Works great, looks the same cold as when I first put it in and it is easier to start the second time around.
  4. Re: KK & Korin Konro... Got my Korin the other day, nice little grill very thick ceramic walls kept the outside somewhat cool (could touch it but not for long). Could really use a Dennis make over. Not exactly up to KK standards. Used white binchotan charcoal. Started it in a pot on a gas grill but grew impatient and added a propane torch to the process. It was like lighting fire crackers! Once it got going it was very hot and long lasting but I think CoCo charcoal will work well too. I got the medium sized grill which is nice for appetizer size skewers of grilled items.
  5. Re: KK & Korin Konro... I too have purchased a Korin Konro for the same reasons as kad1979. Web site not very informative so a bit of a gamble I suppose. I also have a natural gas grill along with my Komodo and plan on using all three at the same time when entertaining. Appetizers with the little grill at the bar while the pork shoulder is finishing on my KK. corn on the cob,hot dogs, and such on the gas grill. Hope Dennis chimes in on the charcoal questions I'm sure my CoCo charcoal will work fine.

    Lid latch

Hello everyone, Looking for advice on latch adjustment. I have smoke escaping in the front of my Komodo. Is there slack enough in the bolts to make an adjustment in the lid latch? If so what is the best way to do so. Thanks for any advice.
  7. Add me to the list of happy campers. I have read all the post on this topic and there is nothing I could add except to verify to new customers that everything you read is for real. Dennis is first class as is the Komodo. Worth every penny. Mike Franklin,IN 3/20/12
