Komodo delivery update

Recommended Posts

My Komodo is in Harahan LA right now. This is real close to Robert and about 140 miles from my house. Looks like Monday or Tuesday is the day the stork brings baby home. We haven't had rain in a month and a half and they're predicting it for all next week. What a surprise!

If you're worried about rain, you could have it sent to my house, and I'll check it out for you, make sure that everything's ok on it, you know, give it a trial run. It's no inconvenience at all, just the kind of guy I am. You can come get it once the weather forecast is better.

The delivery company here in Oklahoma City was fantastic. On both of my KKs they called the day before and told me my KK was going to be the last delivery the following day and should occur about 2:00 - 3:00 pm. The driver called me about 30 minutes before he showed up and couldn't have been a nice man. He wanted to know all about each KK. His boss is a BGE cooker and he called to chat about the KK. We chatted about the KK for quite some time. I ended up have both guys and their families over for some BBQ. They are regulars here at ChezChef and have become good friends! Who knew?

You nailed it MacKenzie, I'd be happy to have them deliver on Saturday...or Sunday for that matter. It's so hot and dry here the fish have dust on them. You catch them already fried. But delivery day?? Rain and more rain. At this point I don't care. I'm ready for it rain or shine. :toothy2:

I called the "secondary" trucking company today.  One truck brought it from California and a different trucking line got it from them in Harrahan LA. and brought it to Lafayette.  They told me today that they'd deliver it tomorrow.  :toothy7:   :toothy8:  They couldn't give me a time or even morning or evening, but I don't give a flying fish. I'm so happy to get it tomorrow that they can come at midnight if they want to.  They did ask if an 18 wheeler could come down my street.  I told them it's a subdivision and the girl said "if we can't come with an 18 wheeler, you'll have to notify the originating party.....I said "Whoa!  OK, come with the 18 wheeler. It'll be fine." I wasn't about to give them a reason to delay bringing it.  Anyway, depending on when they come, I'll have pictures on here either tomorrow night or Wednesday. Burn in Wednesday for sure. Animal on it no later than Thursday.

HURRAY!!  :hello1:

Dude, you do know that you can cook on the KK during the burn-in, right?? And, you can do all the low & slow cooks you want without doing the burn-in first! No need to delay that all-important virgin cook. Porn, man, we want food porn!!!

I know you won't disappoint us, poochie!
