Recommended Posts

Mate that is effing epic!!!!! Wow, that is some serious KK kit there. I have the 32" and i thought that was massive. Look at those huge 2x staino springs on the back!! wow.

Cant wait for you to fire her up and cook something huge on it. I agree with the whole pig idea :D well done mate.

Based on how Dennis constructed this and with how the grates can be manipulated you can cook very small, small, medium, large, extra large etc. You could have just this one KK and cook for yourself or multiple people. Congrats!

P.S. Based on my above comment you don't need your 23 KK anymore so box it up and I will pay for shipping to my house:shock:

I too like the grate configuration.  The grate weights are a concern for me in my 32 and are right at the limit of what I can now lift straight out in front of me, let alone bend over and lower into the well.  I have thought about making the main and the lower (mid) grates two piece by welding 2 parallel rods across the center of the grates and then cutting between them.

Looks like Dennis addressed this with the 42.  I wonder if he made a one piece grate for the 42 AND THEN tried to lift it??  Could have been motivating for his design team...

Ok........Not sure where to begin:-P For starters make sure and have some help! Packaging is the same as the 23", well done Dennis.  To make life easier, unscrew the 8 lag bolts at the base of the crate; the crate will pull straight up.  However this didn't happen in my case; I stepped away for a few mins to grab some tools and my helper was feeling like Hercules and started destroying the casing

At any rate, from start to finish it took us about 2hrs to get her to the final destination.  I CANNOT believe how much stainless steel she comes with!!!!!!!!!! I need to go see my Chiropractor after lifting all the grates.

Below are all the photos from the unboxing; enjoy!!!  Dennis you are a mad MAN; this thing is beyond anything I could imagine!!!!!!  :)

I looked at this picture three times and just saw the hotdog-LMAO! I would say a 40lb pig is worthy of this beast, but what ever you decide please post the pictures!!!!

Too funny!!!! I decided not to cook a hot dog as my first cook:)

Today was my break in day, got her up to 525 buring off all the silicone. I figured I'd let it run for a few more extra hours due to the size. Surprisingly I am not seeing as much white residue as I did with my 23.

One more item I've noticed, temperature control is unbelievable. I've been able to bring it up and down by 20deg as easy as my oven.

I'll keep you all posted with photos of the first cook. I'm definitely going Hog Wild!!!!

sorry I'm late to the party... this post broke the internet today.  I can not believe just how big that sucker is.

Can you please do me a favour and take a side by side with the 23 and 42, I would like to put it up on the KK instagram page.  I am so impressed with the design.  This thing is absolutely  incredible to see

Sorry Bosco, I'll not be able to get that pic. I've moved the 23, to a different part of the deck and it's not an easy task to bring it back.

Do a photo of you standing closely next to the 23 and the same position for the 42 and that will shjow relative size.
