Tyrus Posted December 14, 2017 Report Share Posted December 14, 2017 The Purple crack mix with the brown sugar base Fat Bastard rub was inconclusive. I used 5 peppercorns crushed finely and blended it into the rub and applied. I feel it does well in a sugar base, sweet heat. The next time I will add more to enhance the pepper flavor but, they do pair well together, it's a matter of proportion. On the left side the Purple crack blend was applied and to the right a killer hog rub was on. The ribs didn't pull back as much as I wished but, time wasn't on my side tonite. They were good, no complaints.
