  3. Porter Road Beef Tenderloin - reverse seared. I started it at 230 on the Komodo and cooked it to about 110-115 in the center. Seared it on the EVO. Also a mushroom garlic/shallot saute, horseradish sauce, asparagus, salad, potatoes, and shrimp. Tom Collins to help with digestion. Cheers.

  4. Got some new toys for Christmas (spit shaft and Octoforks) so thought I’d take them for a spin... Bone in pork chops and potatoes. Took the potatoes off to finish under higher heat. Definitely doing this again!

  6. Thanks tony b. I use the port for the grill temp probe and run the other for the bird but it’s too big to pass through the rubber grommet so I go under lid. Still a good deal and no issue with heat loss in my 32”. Turkey was amazing and unbelievably, very little leftovers from this big 24 lb’r.

  10. You guys have all been super kind a supportive through the year. Thank you for your generosity. My life changed a lot during 2018 - not unusual, I am sure we all go through fun and scary changes every year - but it was always nice to be able to escape to a place where people were at least as crazy and at least as mad about food as I am. Here's to a new year of discovery!

  14. Looks delish. The crayfish must be like lobster I gather, have never partaken but sure would like one of those. Abundant in the south, not so in New England. They look large and tasty, did you fish them outta the creek yourself? Great combo

  26. Curious as to why you are running the temp probe wire out the lid? Was this just a spot check of the IT? If you weren't aware, there's a rubber gasket port on the side of the KK to run your wires through.

  31. Ha ha. Fondue on a konro. I hope you got her a real present too! As for Philly? Slim chance at the play offs but my bet is that, if we make it in, we will go deeper than the Pats in their current state. Merry Christmas one and all.

  32. Your wish is my command. Here she is opening the box. This is the very moment of discovery. The next moment was not captured out of self defense. My daughter, the Asian expert in the background helped explain that it’s like Japanese fondue. My wife loves fondue. She now loves “her” grill and asked for Yakitori for New Year’s Day. She bought me a flight of Gesha coffees and asked me if that was good. Ummm, yeah! Just a little bit!
