Finalized everything today and placed my order for a BB 32 Metallic Bronze. Coming from a BGE XL setup and Dennis was absolutely fantastic in answering all of my questions! Have some travel for work coming up and should receive by the end of June. Really looking forward to it - have spent the past few weeks researching and this is a great community! Jeff

I’ve only owned my KK for a short time. I normally clean my grill in the morning after each cook. I know it maybe weird but I like to take care of my stuff. So this is the shocking part (well to me it’s shocking) after the last 2 cooks the next morning the inside of the KK is still hot. No charcoal burning just the residual heat. I cooked some pizzas last night @550 and this morning I wanted to take the pizza stone and deflector out to store them and I had use my oven mitts to remove it from the grill. The KK insulation is amazing. Everything about this grill is built top notch. I sold my egg to a good friend. I cooked on it a few nights ago to help him learn how to use it. I can’t get over the grate size of the KK it makes other grates look like toys in comparison. If your reading this and aren’t sure if you should buy a KK. Do yourself a favor and buy one. I love kamado style cooking. I enjoyed cooking on BGE. The Komodo Kamado is a different experience way more enjoyable. I hate to sound like a weirdo but I love hearing the latch lock and unlock it’s so precise and well built. Before my KK I was eyeing the Kamado Joe 2. I was really intrigued with all the innovations Kamado Joe was bringing to the their grills. So one day the NEX had a Kamado Joe 2 on display. I really like the idea of a latch to help seal the dome to the base. So I started latching and unlatching the Kamado Joe to see how it felt. After 3 tries of latching the grill the latch broke I was so embarrassed I threw the broken pieces into the grill and walked away quickly. So that incident lead me to my KK.
