Czeqm8 Posted August 16, 2018 Report Share Posted August 16, 2018 I am considering getting a KK. I am concerned how it will handle a Chicago winter. Every terra-cotta pot I have ever owned and forget outside in the winter will fracture do to the freeze thaw cycle. Will the KK survive? tquando Posted August 16, 2018 Report Share Posted August 16, 2018 Nothing no to worry about! I am a cold weather guy and have one in the mountains of Japan and one in Jackson Hole. Jon B. Posted August 16, 2018 Report Share Posted August 16, 2018 A decent cover will do the trick. We get an average of 12 feet of snow per year and my cover has kept the cooker nice and dry. Bruce Pearson Posted August 16, 2018 Report Share Posted August 16, 2018 I live in a very temperate weather zone. But like everybody here has said a Good cover is a great idea. Dennis makes the best covers for the KK’s easy to put on and take off.
