  1. Re: Service after the sale!

I have to chime in here and agree with you doc. The service is second to none the best I have ever experienced. A couple of months ago a parcel arrived, it was the firebox divider. I called Dennis and thanked him so much. I also asked him how much do I owe you ?? I am still waiting for an answer. I have never come across anyone so helpful like him before. Will I buy another cooker, you bet. Waiting for the portable!!!

Hi Andrew congrats on your beautiful cooker I have a 23 o.t.b. bronze. As far as charcoal is concerned you may want to try this number 0412995969 his name is Robert he does deliver to you door. Wether he still operates I do not know. I bought 400 hundred dollars worth a few years ago.Good luck. Frans, a very happy owner.Waiting for the portable. Hint hint Dennis.

  3. Re: Hi from Melbourne

Hi Andrew.i live in Victoria, Gippsland,Raymond island. I own a kk 23 and iam over the moon about it. When I picked it up from Port Melb. drove to R.I. and had the Kk on the back of my trailer. Photos are on this site. Unpacked it with a few friends put it on my deck, I have a ramp for easy accessibility to my deck. So my advise is put it on a 6 by 6 trailer and unpack it with a few mates. Easy. If I can be of any help let me know. Good luck and congrats with the best cooker on earth. Frans.

  4. Re: New Ultimate Contender?

Hi Primeats,I will look for that product thanks for the tip. Yes I do clean it after every use to prevent build up of soot, grease. I also takeout the fire basket and blow it with an air compressor and reload with charcoal when needed. I will try the carwax tip. Yes the primo top alters it a lot not to be left there on a permanent bases in fact it looks ugly. Thank you.Frans

  5. Re: New Ultimate Contender?

Hi mguerra I agree with you on the cooker, KK or nothing. I have been thinking of using the primo chimney top instead of the KK, it will not look as nice but I can live with that for a couple of hours . But my reason is very different than yours. I've set out to keep my KK factory fresh and clean. When I smoke something, the smoke discolors the stainless band and bronze tiles which I then need to clean after the cook. It took me an hour and a half to clean my KK after doing a roti chicken yesterday. The Primo top keeps the smoke going straight up and away from my KK AND It's covered so I don't have to worry about rain too. I will try it tomorrow and will let you know how it went.

  6. Re: New Member

Well I live in Australia and pulled the trigger a couple of months ago I have not regretted it for one moment.

I did a roti chicken the other day and it was the best I have ever done my friends raved about it. I know no photos no cook, i did not have the time. I have been cooking on ceramics since 1997 on the big green egg, Primos large and small The Caldera tallboy from the bbq guru people. I am trying to sell them now. They all are very good cookers but The Komodo kamado eclipsed them all. Not only that you will get the very best service from Dennis who has built up a loyal following. I say go for it. Frans

  7. Re: New to forum from AU

Hi Brett nice to hear from you in fact I was trying to get in touch with you today to find out how you were getting on with it because I saw your unit and the one that went to Mark in Tas. When it was loaded on to the truck whilst I was loading mine in Melb (nightmare) but I could not find your number in the white pages. Hope you love it as much as I do.

Have a look at the bottom picture and you'll spot the "Natives" Kangaroos. They are regular visitors to our property at dawn and late in the afternoons. The KK is a wonderful addition to not only the deck but its surroundings as well. My partner said " its a work of ART and its functional as well".What more can one want l ask you.

  9. Hello my name is Frans and live in Australia, Raymond Island in the Gippsland lakes, Victoria. I just took possession of a bronze KOmodo Kamado 23" I cannot believe the workmanship that went in to this beautiful cooker. Dennis it is an unbelievable cooker the craftsmanship is the best I have ever seen. I am very proud of it and your service is legendary, all I have read about you came true. You are also the kindest person to deal with. Anyway I hope you enjoy the photos . The journey took me 12 hours including waiting, the return distance was 650 km. I left with the ferry of 0530 and arrived back at 1645. Not bad for an 20 year old car and a 15 year old trailer. You can see the car on the ferry. I cannot believe that I have the most beautiful and the best cooker in the world. Thank you for everything. I am looking forward to cooking on this beautiful toy.
