Thanks All Taking all the tension off the spring is a great idea. I have emailed Dennis and contacted UPS. I am sure as soon as the work day starts in Indonesia, I will hear from Dennis and these items will be on thier way to resolution. It is amazing to me the amount of force it must have taken to "tear" the stainless steel hinge. It is sitting in the driveway and drawing all kinds of interesting stares and questions from the nieghhbors. I have been standing out in the cold with a beer playing with it....

UPS just delivered my KK. It is everything I expected and more...truly beautiful....the terracotta blue with dark charcoal groat is awesome. The brightly colored tile really stands out against the Dark Charcoal Grout. Only issue appears to be some mishandling during shipping. As I was uncrating her. I noticed the front latch laying in the bottom of the crate. Apparently the KK shifted during shipping and the torque on the lid literally ripped the stainless steal latch right off. It is amazing, it actually looks like the stainless was torn. A few other minor issues but nothing that cannot be taken care of. I shot Dennis and email and suspect I will be in business very soon...While it looks like no Q for Christmas...maybe New Years... I will post picts soon... Dan

Hi All, I have been researching the purchase of my KK for a while now and the customer support Dennis has provided me through this has been amazing. He has answered my bazillions of emails promptly, courteously and informatively. Heck he has even gotten to somewhat know me and made some suggestions with respect to my purchase of a KK (and my needs and likes) that were right on the mark. Just too cool! Oh yeah and one more amazing thing...this is the guy who owns/manages the company. Despite that he has made me feel like me getting me just the right KK was his top priority...in fact I am certain it is! I know I am not telling any of you veteran KK owners anything new...but if you are new to the forum and considering a KK...email Dennis and experience some KK Customer Support first hand!...try it you'll like it! Thanks All As always great info...the placement I am considering is very near identical to what curly posted...outside corner of the front porch...will be building a table to go where the other K (looks like a mexi-K) is sitting in the photo...between KK and house... You all are great Dan

Hi Sanny, Thanks for the reply....I was thinking of a covered front porch...the porch runs the length of the house and I was thinking about placing it at the far end.....no enclosure or screen....just and overhead roof Dan

Good Evening All, For those of you who celebrate it, I hope your Thanksgiving Holiday went well. I have a question about operating a KK on a covered porch. As I move closer to owning a KK (yeah!), I am considering placing it on our covered porch. Has anyone done this? Have you had any problems (lots of smoke, lack of airflow, etc.)? Overall, how does it work? Thanks in advance for all your help Dan
