  2. Maybe I need to change them to some with a larger diameter hole? Not sure. All good none the less!
  3. Thanks tony b. I use the port for the grill temp probe and run the other for the bird but it’s too big to pass through the rubber grommet so I go under lid. Still a good deal and no issue with heat loss in my 32”. Turkey was amazing and unbelievably, very little leftovers from this big 24 lb’r.
  4. :40 mins in. Done went down to 325 when all that turkey went all up in it! Merry Christmas everyone! progress when I remember...
  5. Just finished prepping the bird with the wet rub and salt/banking powder combo. Pictures to follow tomorrow!
  6. Going to spatchcock a 24 lb turkey for Christmas. I usually do chickens indirect on the top grill with the charcoal basket split and fired on the opposite side. Would you do the same for a turkey? Especially one this size or have a full basket on?
