Guest
I haven't received my new cooker yet, but any opinions on B&B charcoal? How much is a 20# bag on average? I need to be prepared when my baby gets here.
jdbower
Here's a great resource for charcoal reviews. TNW rates both B&B flavors he's tried fairly highly it seems.
jehlinger
I love B&B and use it when I don't have or can't get extruded coconut. Part of the reason is the mfg is about 60-75 miles from my house so many local stores carry it. Usually runs about 9-10$ for a 20# bag. If you order it from B&B you'll probably pay a fair amount in freight. Right now they advertise a 20# bag on their website for $7.80. You might get lucky and someone in Wisconsin may carry it, but that would be a long shot. You could also call B&B and they could probably tell you the closest distributor. As far as the charcoal itself, the bags have very little dust and small pieces. It burns well, with not too much popping. Nice aroma as well.
