  1. I apologize in advance for this post!!  I have been reading post after post with bits and pieces of questions answered.  It is funny, I would consider myself a very knowledgable kamado user, and I know absolutely everything about the KJ brand.... sadly, I feel brand new with respect to KK.  I want to educate myself so that I know what I am getting into, as well as being able to provide information to potential buyers on other forums...

I have figured out the models and man there are many!!!  I love the variety of sizes and design, colour choices and accessories.

I am interested to know a few things in more detail however.

When purchasing the kamado itself, Robert explained that I get the grills, deflector stone included.  Then I see that the side tables are an extra. I would think the half basket, and baking stone is really all that I would need extra to get started.

Now 2 zone cooking... how does one achieve that with the ultimate and 19" high top? I understand the deflector stone is solid one piece, can you order a split divider stone for true 2 zone cooking???

When you place your order how do you pay?

How long does it take usually from order date to delivery date?

Who arranges shipping from over seas and ground transportation from the port to my house?

    How does warranty work?

When ordering accessories after purchase, how much is it usually to ship products?  Or is there a north america distribution??

I have narrowed down my design to pebble finish... I really loved CC black beast, however, after more research I am really drawn to harvest and gold pebble.  Can anyone post their cookers with these finishes so that I can see them.  I have seen Wilburpan's which is beautiful but would also like to see a few more before choosing.

I am sure that I will have 100 more questions before this is said and done.... so bare with me, I hope to be up to speed in no time

  2. Yeah Bosco, you do put out some great food porn. I remember those wing shots from the other forum!

Can't wait to see what you crank out when you get your KK!

I just really love making crazy things. I don't like being ordinary. Thanks for noticing my cooks!! I really hope to keep up with this crowd

  3. Bosco is a terrific food pornographer.

Wait. That didn’t come out quite right. ^_^

I think that a KK 23†in olive gold pebble is a great choice. But you knew I would say that. ^_^

One other benefit to having a KK grill is that you can get a rotisserie that isn’t vaporware. ^_^

Anyway, welcome to the KK family in advance! ^_^

That looks really nice Wilbur. I am down to three colours so far

  4. I will keep the triplets as they are a great crew. I just really want one a KK too. I have seen tiny fish's set up and his pits are more diverse than the UN. Baby steps lol!!

Yeah tiny the cancelling of my tickets is a major factor in this decision.

  5. Ckreef at your request, here are a few of my cooks.  I like making foods from all around the world.  My main reason for loving kamado cooking is that I like to grill, I am not a dead set smoker.  I started with a WSM and a kettle, but found that I was using the kettle all of the time.  I had 7 BBQ's down to 4 as my wife won't let me toss the gasser.  The KK will be a great addition to my Kj's

  6. thanks for the warm welcome everyone.  I hope to eventually contribute, but right now I am the student learning as much as I can.

tony b I hope its all good this reputation lol!!

GoFrogs.... it is funny that you bring my wife up on this one.  My wife and I have not exactly seen eye to eye over the past few years but she respects my hobby and love of BBQ.  She saw me looking at the kk website 2 weeks ago and she said you need to get one they are beautiful.  I was in shock!!  So needless to say green light, just need to save a bit more.

I have been fortunate to buy three kamado Joe's and was able to buy 3 more this year.  I gave away one kamado to my dad and 2 to my best friend.  Now I can share my hobby with my favourite people.

Tiny and Ckreef perhaps you are right.  I think the yard needs a kk....

The purchase of the KK is not something that I anticipated.   I just love the look of them, and have heard nothing but good about them.

  7. I have been lurking for the past 2 weeks and recognize a bunch of you from another website.

I have been cooking kamado style for the past 2 years, and I have a full blown addiction to this style of cooking.  As my good friend Robert always says..... welcome to the dark side.  Thanks to him and CC specifically, I have really started looking at KK as a future purchase.  Seeing how satisfied guys like ckreef, wilbur, and tinyfish are makes this decision pretty easy.

I am strongly considering a 23" ultimate with the olive gold pebble finish.  I currently have 3 kamado's and would like to eventually have the 23" ultimate and a matching 19" high top.

I am going to be reading up while saving, but hope to make my first purchase December/January.

Anyways, thought that I would introduce myself and make my intent to purchase a KK official

Look forward to getting to know the new to me faces
