  1. Hi, Jaxx.  Good to see you over here.

I went through the mind games as well, but for me, I'm going with the 23" first.  I really don't see having a need for the 32", but that's just me.

The Big Joe has been perfect for my larger grilling/smoking needs.  After some discussion on this forum, the added cooking shelves that the 23" includes will suit me just fine.

You might have a different opinion.  I've got the extender rack for the Big Joe, but I've only used that a couple of times.

I do, however, use both the Big Joe and the Jr. for several cooks at the same time.  I'll hang on to the Jr. until I can add to the KK collection WAY down the road - looking at the 19" for that purpose.  Heck, I haven't even ordered the first KK yet!!!  One day.  Just here to do some research and am green with envy saving a few bucks here and there.

  2. That's what I'm thinking, tinyfish.  The work surface would need to be much larger.  I, like you, would look to a ss insert for the hot items.  I think that's a great idea.  I'd like to have some good storage too - limit my trips to/from the garage when the key items are stored right there.

I do have two small pieces of granite left over from when our kitchen countertops were built (the sink cutouts).  I could always use those I guess.

  3. Wilburpan's post stirred the nest, no doubt about it.

I loved reading the information that Wilbur posted - and always do. Dennis follows it up with some great information for a prospective buyer to read.

I see the difference, but again, good information for me folks!

I can't wait until I reach "order date" status. It may very well kill me.
