Well probably still have hold off on baking stone, that sucks thought I could save a few bucks because I already had some baking equipment to use!!

Also leaning towards the 16.5tt fits my budget at 2050 plus shipping for a black matte! Cover and a few boxes of Coco char will keep me under 2500 no need for a baking stone at this time I have a baking steel 14 inch as well as a hefty baking stone the same size.

Aussie I never used peach for beef, my go to for beef is red oak or pecan! But like HalfSmoke said try it and let us know what you think and with pork I thought apple was my go to wood but peach kicked that to the curb. I also like sugar maple for pork too!!

Sorry about the weather we got our fair share too! That cheesecake looks so good might be worth walking in that blizzard to get some

Peach is my favorite fruit wood and I'm sure bosco will chime in because he loves it too!

Here's a chicken coop that can hold up to 10 ladies and with all hardware and wood would cost about 200 dollars!!

I like that color of blue and the name Trevor is so not what you would think to call a grill so it's perfect!!

For the ridgeback it's such a healthy dog and is an one man dog, and the Anatolian shepherd is a LSGD and a natural protector-Look up the movie kate and leopold the dog featured is an Anatolian.

My first dog was a female shepherd and I loved her so much! Been leaning towards a new dog in recent months have narrow down to two breeds, Rhodesian Ridgeback and Anatolian Shepherd but may need to put German Shepherd in the mix!!

It's amazing that the German Shepherd has only won best in show twice now with Rumor's win in the show's history! (Westminster began in 1877)

Thanks for the link and I would have thought the upper grate would have sit up higher than the picture shows!

HalfSmoke I would not have considered a Komodo Kamado if I haven't read most of your posts along with ckreef and bosco! The baking that you have done on yours since last year is amazing and the different cooks from bosco and ckreef now with Mackenzie and Aussie ora, and other's I dream of owning one. Never really consider a 22 or larger KK but who knows once I get the first one may decide bigger KK is in my future.

distance between the regular grate and the upper grate
Is it possible to have you take a photo of your kk with the upper grate in place?

So does this mean you're leaning toward to a 16TT?
For the most part it's just me and on the occasion I do cook for more usually only a couple more folks! But haven't decided yet keeping options open, I know you can cook on a larger grill for a few people but can't cook for a larger crowd on a small grill. I want the KK for mainly low and slow and baking and if on the that occasion I need more space I have other's to go to. Ckreef I believe started with the 16tt and then moved up to the 19tt and I can see that being the case for me.

Trying to avoid buying anything on credit, hoping to get my first house with a VA loan and was advised to keep credit buys down. So saving to get this and waiting to May helps with me and the KK having a new home to enjoy-lol
