Re: New KK Site is up and running..
I do like it Dennis.
It will be a Love/Hate relationship with an online store.
I've setup several websites and they all have been a living animal. Lots of care and feeding.
Best of luck and thanks.

You set a nice looking table.
The heart medication in the glass is a good touch.

Re: I was robbed again.. ;-(
Sorry to hear about your robbery.
The things are replaceable, but a pain to deal with. Very glad no one in the house was hurt.

Re: Christmas Pork
Patron is OK, but there is better out there. Don Julio 1942, a little over $100./ bottle is superb. Don Julio Real, about $350. / bottle even more so. At these prices I drink about one bottle a year of the 1942, I try to get a few years out of the Real, only on an occasion when I can truly savor and enjoy the experience. For a go to tequila, Don Julio and Patron have some much more reasonably priced options. If you want an awesome spirits glass, the smallest Reidel O is a true pleasure in hand and on the nose. Unlike a Glencairn, it is ultralight and delicate, feels fabulous in your hand. Sometimes I set one on the counter and just look at it!
Waterford Lismore Nouveau Stemless are not bad.
I tried the Balvenie Doublewood you were discussing the other day. Not bad at all, normally I drink MacCallan 12yr when I drink scotch. On very special occasion I'll have MacCalllan 17yr. There is just something nice about two figures of scotch with three ice cubes in a crystal glass while the KK gets to temp. Like is good.
Merry Christmas to the forum.

Re: How did you find Komodo Kamado
I cooked on a BGE for about 12 years. One day I thought I would look around on the web and see what was out there. Stumbled across the KK site and knew then I had to have one. I started reading the all post and thought these are guys are really enthusiastic about their grills. I called Dennis several times to discuss purchasing one and what accessories he recommended. After finalizing the order went to the bank to send a transfer. The VP was concerned about transferring that much money off shore. Transfer made and the rest is grilling history.

Salt Lick is still there on fm1825.
Back then it was the place. Now there are a lot of good places in Austin.
Texas Ribb King is excellent.
If you are ever in this part of the state give a shout.

Re: Most of forum recovered from Hackers..
Good job Dennis.
I can't stand hackers. We've been hit several times as well as my personal email.
I believe they think it's funny.
But it takes a lot of effort to get things back.

I don't recall getting this before "You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post."
Is this something new?

Re: Los Angeles Port Closure - Union greed does it again...
Great news Dennis.
In many many ways the unions have outlived their usefulness.
I’m very glad that things worked out well.
As I’m writing this I have a pork loin on the grill.
It should be ready this evening.
Merry Christmas to you and your family
Warmest Regards

Which stoker blower?

I have had the stoker for several years. Customer service has been great.
I had an AC adapter go out, they send one out right away. No charge.
The fan is 10 cfm. That's the one they recommended. Works great. It just puffs once up to temp.
I should have ordered 6 ft. probes. They would have been more flexible as to placement of the unit.
It's great on long cooks.
