DennisLinkletter
Today is KOmodo's 5th year anniversary. I remember feeling like the little train that could but knew it would be a long road. From it's humble beginnings KOmodo has evolved and exceeded my wildest expectations. I'm very proud of where KOmodo is today and I want to personally thank everybody for your help as it was literally a group effort. To celebrate this anniversary and to help motivate sales in this time of economic uncertainty I'm offering free delivery on all Gen II cookers in stock. I'm also offering an inexpensive Gen 2.2 upgrade kit with the new firebox and charcoal basket for the Gen 2.18 for only $120. I'd appreciate any word of mouth promotion of KOmodo. If you have a friend who is possibly interested, this is a great opportunity to same what can be a considerable amount on delivery. As small, low volume company it's important to keep the ball rolling. Once again, thank you all for your support and encouragement over the last 5 years... Fetzervalve
Dennis, Please confirm that a ver 2.18 would be a cooker that has a firebox that hangs on the ring, in other words, not the firebox that has the legs that reach the bottom of the cooker. BTW, Happy Birthday!! and here's to many more!

BTW, Happy Birthday!! and here's to many more! The firebox is two versions after the original (short lived) one with the legs and also does not have a ring inside that the firebox sits on. Please send me photos of what your have and I can tell you if this will work.

DennisLinkletter
I see no reason for you to up grade. I'm toast' date=' I'm 99% sure I have ring (but no legs).[/quote'] I see no reason for you to up grade. Your basket can hold enough charcoal for over a 24 hour cook. It is lower giving you more room between your drip pan and main grill or turkey in a roti basket. Have you ever run out on a cook? The main reason I'm offering it is that people don't realize that the 2.18 was built at the same time as the 2.2 and is almost the same. The most important thing they both have is the new CNC milled interlocking lip and the new nano tech grout/adhesive. No one should not buy a 2.18 thinking they are not getting the best cooker available.. it is everything the 2.2 is only with the previous firebox and charcoal basket.. Fetzervalve
I have not run out during L&S, however, I have burned up a whole basket when banging out a few pizzas for a party. My basket has the high handles that won't allow the deflector and roti basket at the same time. I plan to cut them off and have them re welded so it will clear. (my basket also has the long bottom that hangs below the firebox - at least it did, I made a modification to that previously.

Maybe I can make a new ring to hold the new box for you. You know what they say.. Necessity is the big momma of all invention.. Or something like that!
