jdbower Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 Dennis has been waxing the matte finish ones with Meguiar's car wax (one of the wipe on/wipe off varieties, not positive which one though) so it should be OK with the grout and the glazed ceramic tiles are pretty tough. A polish tends to be a bit abrasive so I'd probably avoid it since it may wear down the grout a bit. Since a KK even at high temps really only gets about as hot as a black car in the sun I don't see the harm, but you may want to be careful about the type of wax and how it's applied in case it leaves a white residue on the grout. I intend to wax mine every so often once the weather warms up a bit, if it ever stops snowing here Quote

Is there any harm in doing so? Shouldn't be. Ceramic tile is very durable, just don't use anything that would be bad for the grout, like acid etc. Quote
Conodo12 Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 I believe I read on this forum where someone (Bob V?) was using the Mr. Clean magic pads/sponges to clean the KK. Sounded like it was very effective in removing the gunk and not harming the KK... Quote
maherussell Posted December 22, 2008 Author Report Posted December 22, 2008 Thank you all. I have an abundance of Astroshield polish. I want to use it maybe once a year or two on my KK. Since it will be covered, anymore than that will be excessive. It is not abrasive as most polishes, but I want to be cautious about applying anything to the KK. Quote
