definitely need to close until the gasket is touching

I turned down the cap to just touching the gasket, and then opened it one eighth turn.

Do you think that I have an air leak somewhere?

Should I have closed the cap until the gasket touched the cap?

;) No leak the top was open one-eighth turn.

Yes you definitely need to close until the gasket is touching to shut of the airflow to kill the charcoal

Am I supposed to be cleaning my grills? :shock: Grill floss and an occasional wipe with olive oil is all mine get, no dog lick'n, soak'n or spray'n. Well then there is the pizza cooks that do a pretty good job of turning things to ash.
