bryan Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 I found the hose itself to be 40", w/ torch and tank connector to be 52". $28 http://www.harborfreight.com/propane-to ... 91899.html
Syzygies Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 How's the quality? Harbor Freight is an amazing place, but some of their stuff won't make it to your car intact unless you've parked close. I buy things there that only need to have the correct form (wheels for a "picnic table truck" to move my outdoor workbench six times a year max) and return anything where quality can possibly affect function (wood clamps that self-destruct on first use). I fear that a propane torch is in the second category. Proceed with caution.
myself888 Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 I'm very interested. Let me know if you end up liking it.
bryan Posted September 3, 2010 Author Report Posted September 3, 2010 I'm very interested. Let me know if you end up liking it. Good timing. I just got home from returning it. It only fit the small canisters. Fittings looked to be regular torch quality, just not a connector for tanks. I would have kept if looking for a canister torch.

ThreeDJ16 Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 Hey Cook_shack, if you are just using the torch for a starter, thought you might like to know the small canisters do last quite a while. I go through less than 2 a year and start lots of fires. To me it is much more convenient than having a big propane cylinder and hose laying around. Anyway, just thought I would mention it while you were searching. Here is my Habor Frieght torch (which is obviously modified). http://www.komodokamado.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2293 As you can tell by the post age, it is over 2 years old now and still going strong. -=Jasen=-
