Review: First High Temp Cook with ECC

Got my charcoal and wanted to try it on steaks, so here it is . . . .

here is my little stash


And here is the subject of the cook. A new specialty meat place just opened in my town and he had these bone-in rib-eyes. Just had to try one.


The ECC is burning and the steak is cooking. Once this ECC gets lit it likes to go. Holding the dome temp to 400.


And the finished product.



OK, I know this has been said many times, but this is truly the best steak I have ever had.

Thank you Dennis, you have done it again. This charcoal really brought out the flavor of the steak without the overpowering smoke.

Why are you guys trying to split a pallet. Just get one for yourself. I'm thinking I might need to go ahead and get a second pallet coming :P
