tdixon Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 I haven't ordered my KK yet. I've always cooked over charcoal or gas. It occurred to me that even if my KK arrived tomorrow, I wouldn't have the first idea how to use it! I need to learn the fundamentals of cooking on a kamado cooker using lump coal, smoke wood, air inlets and outlets, BBQ Guru, direct and indirect heating, etc. I certainly intend to continue reading these boards as often as I have time, but it would be nice if there was a Kamado How-To Cookbook. Anyone have suggestions?

Bob-oHIo Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 Re: Kamado How-To Cookbook? You simply can't beat this forum for the information your looking for. I continue to learn from it daily.
mguerra Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 Re: Kamado How-To Cookbook? In the months leading up to my buying the KK, I scoured the forums for as much info as I could cram in my head. The day mine arrived I was ready to do a low and slow pork butt and had it cooking within 30 minutes of uncrating. In the driveway. A week later I finally got the help to move it around to the back deck!
