Trathor
I saw someone post elsewhere as a side note about using a Wok with a BGE. We use our cast iron wok on the stove inside, and honestly, I have trouble getting it hot enough to cook mongolian beef at the right speed. It seems like one might not want to cook with a wok inside of a ceramic grill because of the risk of splatter of oils/ etc... but maybe that is just silly. Can you/ should you/ do you use a Wok on your grill? If so, is there one you recommend?
EGGARY
Re: One last accessory question - using a Wok I have had experience cooking on a Wok in a BGE. There is a guy who makes accessories for the BGE. The Ceramic Grill Store. One accessory sits on the Fire Ring and the Wok sits inside. I don't think Wokking in a KK is possible as we don't grill with the top open. I always close it. Also, the way the KK's shape is I would think the Wok would be small. dub
Re: One last accessory question - using a Wok A charcoal fire big enough to wok over is gonna take a lot of fuel. Good 'wok hay' takes a LOT of heat. And there is that issue of the lid. Best would be a big honking gas burner that's specific for the job. A friend of mine has a homemade rig that uses the burner from an old gas water heater. dub(i guess that makes my vote 'no' but YMMV)
