I can't see the pictures, but I'm impressed with how much every can pack in their grills.

It's beautiful here! No worries mon!

Much ado about nothing, I'm sure!
I'm sitting in Jamaica right now thinking about my KK and its delivery! I guess there really is something like a KK flu!
-
sooooooo gooooooood!!!
-
I know in Mrs skreef's case she wouldn't be cooking on a kamado if I would have gotten one of the big 3 ceramic Kamados just because of the shear weight of the dome. With KK's there is no effort in opening them so they are not very intimidating.
The dome lid is exactly why my wife won't go near my ceramic grills - its just too heavy for her. With the soon arrival of the KK, I'm guessing that will change and she will join some of those wonderful female cooks on here

Looks like a lot of fun!

Congratulations
I just ordered mine and get it in a few weeks!
As for do's and don'ts, I'll leave that to the pro's on here.
-
I'm passing the phone to Mrs skreef - never know she might get somewhere with Mrs skreef, she has a much softer heart then mine.

I'm telling you Charles, I'm going to have her call you directly! LOL

I almost wish I wasnt going on vacation, then I could have just had delivery next week!
-
Thats cool!
-
Quite simply.... WOW!
-
LOL Charles. I'll let you have that discussion with Aashni!
-
Did I miss breakfast at MacKenzies?
-
Yes, Charles is definitely responsible for getting Aashni a pink/purple KK
LMAO
Thats why got the splitter, I'm used to cooking in a D&C environment so this will be great for me. I decided on the extra basket because it will just simplify my life a little (plus easy set up for the Roti) and the double bottom drip pan sounds like a great way to collect drippings to make gravy and sauces!
I'm anxious now to get this show on the road already!!!
-
Unfortunately I didn't, but I do plan to get some in the near future.
-
A really informative thread! Thanks for the information Dennis!

Benton, I've admired from afar, but when you see them close up they are even more incredible. I can't wait to get mine so that i can examine every part closely!!
Thank you MacKenzie, fun picture eh?! I'm really looking forward to do more baking and I'm very curious to see how my pizza turns out on the baking stone!
-
That is very cool!!

To say "I'm excited" is a massive understatement!!
I can't wait to see and feel the difference between my current cooking experience and cooking on a KK! Its going to be a bit of a learning curve, but one that I'm extremely excited about!

LOL Thanks Charles! Maybe one day
