  3. Just ordered a Digi ll they said they do not have the polder plugs available ( FYI )also on the Inducer tube---he said they had the one with the threads or the one without. they are both 4 1/2 in in length---I opted for no threads. I am assuming this is the one I can adjust flush with the outside of my Komado and seal with High temp silicone--as Jason did---hope this is correct---- Jason if you have a pic avail. of your setup on the forum could you lead me to it-----Thanks

  4. Re: Plug for Guru fan hole

    Hi All

I am ordering a Digi II with all the trimmings---I was wondering-- if I am not using it --do I take the fan out and if so-- what do you plug the remaing hole with ??Or do you leave the fan attached all the time??

    Thanks :?

They will or should include an inducer tube and a high temp silicone plug for that tube..

    ;)

Actually since there are so many different types of cooker hookups, they don't include the inducer tube unless you purchase a package which states such. You can search in this forum as there are numerous threads that discuss which tubes people have purchased. There is a long bulkhead one that sticks out a few inches and is held in place via a snap ring ( http://secure.thebbqguru.com/ProductCar ... roduct=207 ). And also there is the short version (not listed on the website...call to order) that you just silicone in place, flush with the outside plate on your KK. You should be able to find pics of both here.

The plug which fits the inducer tube is included with your Guru unit.

    Thank you all :)

  5. Thanks Dennis--this Baby is unbelievable---I've had 2 mexi k's for almost 8 years till they came apart ----and there is no comparison to the efficiency and the total heat absorbtion of the Kooker---just a very small adj makes a diff--and it's rock solid :)

  6. I know the feeling---did you tell the trucking co to have a pallet jack on the truck?? I told mine when they called ---good thing cause they wouldn't have had it otherwise---hope to see some pics of your endeavors :!:

Well, its been booked and supposed to be picked up today, I have not received the phone call yet, but I will ask them about the jack when they do call, thanks for the tip. If not, my friend has a heavy duty hand truck, we'll get it to the back yard !!!

It was very easy to get off- after unhooking the legs from the pallet so it could roll I took the 2x4 off one side underneath---then just guided it off the pallet onto my pavers---have fun

  8. Welcome. When you get your KK you will be a VERY HAPPY CAMPER.

That said by a two #7 posk former owner.

  9. Re: Got it

    Got Pictures?

To tell you the truth Hawaiian Pirate I have no idea how to do the picture thing :?:(

  10. Central freight called today to see if Monday was a good day for delivery---duh!! can't wait---would like to say thank you to Dennis for all the e-mails he answered from me before my order and while I was waiting---he kept me informed on shipping date, arrival date and when it was going to be picked up by the trucking co.

    Very positive experience--thanks so much

  11. Yes, Chanterelles are one of the safest mushrooms to send a neophyte out after.

They have a unique body structure, a pretty unique color, and grow in pretty specific types of locations.

One of the things that make them easy is that they have low ridges, rather than gills, running down their outside. If you study the difference, you really can't go wrong.

some of the guys i know that go out here in napa get what they call cocoli (sp) chantrelles and porcini--they all have there spots and it all a secret

  12. For year-in, year-out all around eating pleasure, I find it very hard to beat chanterelles. Unfortunately, they've gotten too popular, and spots where I used to be able to go and reliably pick 10-20 pounds are often swept clean :((

    They grill up really nicely!

is it true Amphoran that they are pretty safe as far as identification?

  13. Gerard - I got "post does not exist" message, too.

    Go figger.

    Sorry about that.

Damn KFF housekeeper. Set me up to look stoopid.

Just in case anyone is still interested in what I was trying to show, Duck833 had plans to blow up his problematic #9 and post it on YouTube. Hasn't gotten around to it as far as I know.

But this thread is about the new Duk! Sorry to turn the limelight away from you.

But, if you ever want to blow up those two #7's, you've got a ready made audience!

Gerard, Now you have me thinking---I was seriously going to take a sledge hammer to them( easier to get rid of the concrete ) but.... :naka:
