BigT Posted November 2, 2007 Report Posted November 2, 2007 I ordered the Digiq II with short inducer tube. I am looking for the high heat silicone at HD. They have up to 500 degrees in silicone and up to 2000 degrees in Fireplace Cement. Which one or is there somewhere on-line to order the correct stuff.

Stewsan Posted November 3, 2007 Report Posted November 3, 2007 The inducer tube I received with my Guru just clipped in nice and tight and doesn't require any silicone. It's completely air tight as when the KK is under "pressure", no smoke leaks out at all.
Amphoran Posted November 3, 2007 Report Posted November 3, 2007 Stewsan, Which did you get, the bulkead? I got the 4.5 inch inducer tube, and it was a loose slip fit which did require silicone. I found the 500 degree black at a NAPA store, but they also had a 700 degree copper colored silicone which is what I used. It worked great. Mike

BigT Posted November 11, 2007 Author Report Posted November 11, 2007 Install Received my Guru with small inducer tube (also ordered the one they recommended but it did stick out quite far). I did silicone the tube but the fit was so perfect needed a rubber mallet to fit it. BTW want to post some pics of my new Gen II, please lead me to that thread.
