First pulled pork

Recommended Posts

My first slow and low, 26 lbs pulled pork. There was also 10 lbs of seared ahi, 6 lbs cajun shrimp, 40 jalapeno poppers, 20 lbs twice baked potatoes and about 10 lbs of roasted veges. All done on the kk's, there were no leftovers.

The Black Pearls did there work perfectly. there were 30 people and they could not stop asking questions about the grills. Sorry i didn't get pictures of everything but it was all i could do to get the food on the table without losing a hand. The only complaint i heard over and over was "I may have eaten to much" Ya think

Wow...

Did all the people explode?? That's a LOT of food! Did you have leftovers?

Great job! :)

What little was left a couple of people put in bags and took home, we even had people call sunday morning to help with leftovers but it was all gone. So much for leftovers for sunday dinner.

Ok, if the 26 lbs was pre-cooked, assume you lost 50 percent of the pork during cooking. Maybe, maybe not. That's 13 lbs of pork. And 46 lbs of ahi, shrimp, potatoes, and veggies. PLUS poppers. For 30 people. That's nearly TWO POUNDS of food per person.

Wow...

People were showing up ta 4:00 and i put out the poppers and shrimp to get them started. I had the pork done so i just had to deal with the fish and veges. They were eating for 5 plus hours, then we brought out the birthday cake and i didn't even get any!
