primeats
Does any one out there know of a great way to transport their KK, outside of the straps under the legs and lifting? I thought I read "somewhere" of a motorized cart that did this. Trying to eliminate damage moving my cooker from place to place. Thanks! Sanny
Some of our more "large equipment oriented" people have fork lifts and the like on the front of their "gentleman's tractor." I guess depends how far you want to go with it. Too far for sheets of plywood and a shove, huh? How are you with "wingardium leviosa"? "Locomotor cooker"? primeats
That''s Levio-SAH, not levioSUH! Really looking for something to move from my store to a vehicle and to a persons home or a studio. I've looked at lift trucks and that might work, I'm cheap and don't want to spend that kind of dough!
gerard
Re: Moving a KK I thought I read "somewhere" of a motorized cart ... I think you're talking about an Escalara http://www.escalera.com/, a motorized handtruck that ascends and descends stairs. I helped a new K dealer deliver a crated #7 up a long set of stairs at my house. Neither of us knew what we were doing and it was pretty scary. I bet SteveMurphy4 has extensive experience with Escalaras from his K dealership days and could comment on its suitability for what you have in mind. Fetzervalve
forearm forklifts work pretty well if you strip it (remove lid and innards). Perhaps you wouldn't need to strip it if you were a bigger fella, and had a big friend.
primeats
Being a corn fed Iowa boy, I'm big enough with a helper, but I'm also not so young any more, hopefully smarter. Seems like everytime I strain myself about a dozen hairs(gray now) jump off my head! Thanks everyone for your input
johnnyboy
Darn it! Last month I was in Lousiville, KY attending the largest truck show (semi trucks) in the world. Vendors had all kinds of heavy lifting equipment for moving all types of heavy items. Wish I'd of known, I'd taken a closer look for you. Sorry. Pyro
Try 'The Shoulder Strap' available from Amazon. This will make moving your KK a reasonable task for two normal people.
