Residential delivery requiring a lift gate equipped truck will be $185. 27 boxes @ 22lbs + 45lb palette = 639lbs 639 lbs Residential delivery = $185 27 boxes @ $12.10 = $328 Warehouse charges $27.50 per shrink wrapped pallet. In and out handling $7.50 per pallet. Residential delivery Grand Total $548 Best to find a business where you can have it dropped or have it dropped at the terminal. They charge a premium for residential delivery because they also have to make appointments and people are late etc... It's a hassle for the trucking co.. and they make you pay for the hassle..
Syzygies Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 Pick up at terminal! I drove 30 miles to meet my pallet share, fitting 20 boxes on edge in a single layer in my VW GTI (with the rear seats folded down). I coud have fit 27 boxes easily. Anyone looking to save a buck should go to the terminal, if this works for them!
jiarby Posted August 23, 2008 Author Report Posted August 23, 2008 That's what I'll do... I have a pick up truck.
