Gary
For the first cook I did a pork butt. It took a little longer than I expected, but it turned out great. It took 14 hours, but it was only an 8 pound butt.
T Rex
WOW......... Hey Gary, looks outrageously good, looks like you are not new to BBQing........ Hope you enjoy your KOoker as much as I do mine. Welcome to the Forum! T Rex
mguerra
You done good Ah, a man after my own heart! First cook on a KK should be a pork butt, in my opinion. I had a pork butt on mine within minutes of uncrating. It was the first actual low and slow, true barbecue, I ever did. And of course the KK makes you look like a star since it comes out so delectable! BTW, looks like you have all the right John Deere tools for moving your KK in to place. Welcome to the club. jdbower
And I like the toy in the background, too! It could squish my little Deere 2520 and not even notice.
Fetzervalve
Look'n good Gary, next time try those potatoes without the foil, I think you will like it.
Conodo12
Have to agree with Fetz - since owning the KK, I only wash and season my bakers then right on the grill - no foil... just don't need it! Great looking cook and the inside of that KK is looking better! Keep cookin' away and she will season up nice for you! Thanks for the pics!
