bryan Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 Short story. My daughters dog just had a $3500 operation. It found and consumed some grill scrapings. Several small wire clusters were removed from the pups tummy. Puppy is doing great.

Each above separated by a couple of days. Three vet's before one read the x-ray correctly Did not see dog eat scrapings. Vet gave them to us in a small bottle after the operation. Brush was maintained on a hook on post and not available to the dog. Only thing left we can figure is grill scrapings that fell through holes on bottom of grill. Needless to say Daughter does not use brushes any more.
mguerra Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 I believe we have discussed this before, but it bears repeating. Cleaning your grill with a wire brush can be lethal. Don't do it. Every year several people suffer significant morbidity and mortality from ingesting the wires. Use a pumice, a grill floss, an oily rag or whatever you like that ISN'T a wire brush. A moderator might wish to sticky this in some very obvious location.
