I pulled the trigger a few months ago. I am very happy with my new kk. It is the best grill i have ever owned. My friend with the metal barrel type smokers are jealous. they say since my grill does such a good without all the effort they go through that it takes the sport out of it. I guess if i had to check on it every few hours and feed it more charcoal they would be happy. Nevertheless, it is the best grill i have ever used. P.S. you must get a guru though

Turkey Will give me all the instructions on cooking a turkey? i.e.: temperture, length of time, did you cook yours with the meat hanger, rub, etc.

The best I've ever done, I cooked them for alittle more than 5 hours. Now I need to decide what Iam going to cook for Thanksgiving. I thought about doing the turkey, but i general fry it. The KK is great.

Dennis e-mailed me with a Owner's Manuel. Therein, it states that the more you open the Damper the temperature decreases and the less it open the temperature increases. Is that right, I always thought it was the reverse.

Well it arrived safely yesterday and put in the garage for the night. Today i went and rented a pallet-jack and pulled it around the house with a little help. No problems. Thanks for all the advise. It looks great. The only thing is i didn't get a temperature gauge? I'll try download some pictures tomorrow.

any suggestions on how to move a kk if you don't have access to a crane or forklift? I remember seeing some pictures with four guys moving one with straps and 2x4s, but can't find the pictures.

Well my new kk was to be delivered today, but was told by the shipping company that the truck's lift gate broke. Thus, the truck had to return to the terminal. Maybe tomorrow.

Dennis has called (left me a message) and I am awaiting his call back. Just wanted everyone to know, since my prior post seemed to indicated he was not getting in touch with me.

Info from anyone is a help. Didn't mean to leave anyone out, just Curley and Porkchop had answered my earlier questions. BTW, how long does it take for Dennis to get in touch. I have called and e-mailed him with no response. I have never had this hard of a time in trying to give someone money.

What's your thought on comparing BGE, Primo & KK? I know KK is best looking but it is also $$$$ more. I just do not know if the extra money for the KK is worth it.

I am interested in buying a Kk. I noticed on another forum that other brand of this type cooker apparently have trouble with the tiles coming off. So, have any of you had problems with KK tiles coming off? If so, have you found a solution?
