  1. Re: I see a Stoker!

That is a nice lookin' cooker, and looks great in contrast to that plush grass!

How do you like the Stoker? The Stoker looks like a well built machine and I wondered if it controls the temp real well? :)

Works great! I used to have a Guru...like the Stoker better. Since I'm a geek I have it connected to my network and I can monitor my cooks from work!! 8)

I will post the final product tomorrow!!!

  3. It holds small amounts of lump together for a short cook. Dennis doesnt ship them anymore' date=' since its just as easy to fill the big basket and kill the fire when you are done.[/quote']

He is still shipping them...it came with my new KK today.

Wow! My K7 is still on my porch...the buyer has not picked it up yet. The Mexi-K doesn't even come close to the KK!!!

You better hide the KK when the buyer comes...you might loose the sale!

Too late! He already paid me and I used that money to help pay for my new KK!!!

  5. Re: It's here!!

    Time to start cooking!!!!! :D

I think I just realized that I watched (through your pics) your pool being built...sweeeeeet. (I'm pretty sure...do you have a web site that documented it?)

So, whataya think? You've had a K7, how does it compare? :D:D

You probably viewed the pool construction pictures on my homepage!

Wow! My K7 is still on my porch...the buyer has not picked it up yet. The Mexi-K doesn't even come close to the KK!!!

  6. You might as well just set up a webcam - It will be easier than posting pics of all the different cooks you are about to enjoy!

I just might do that! ;) I have a wireless webcam that I had setup to watch the construction of my pool.

  7. Scheduled for delivery Wednesday between 11AM - 3PM!!!

    :smt041:smt041:smt041:smt041:smt041

    Comparison:

Mexi-K ---> Paid 50% took almost 10 months to get and it was missing several accessories.

KK ---> Will arrive 13 days after I paid in full.

  8. I used to cook GREAT (if I may say) brisket, pulled pork, ribs, etc on a weber smoker with kingsford charcoal. No Guru...just me controlling the fire.

I don't consider the coconut lump a crutch...I liked it because it provide heat only, no smoke or flavor of any kind. That allowed me to use whatever smoke wood I wanted to provide the flavor. If you use an Oak lump you will get Oak smoke/flavor added to your meat in addition to any smoke wood you put on the fire.

  9. My KK is on the way!!!! :w00t:

Est. Delivery: 2-3 business days after 8/22

    Date Comments

8/22 Freight picked up from shipper location

8/23 Trailer closed - ready for dispatch

8/23 Trailer dispatched to destination terminal

  10. FYI.

My father (U2PLT) and I purchased some of the lump that NakedWhiz tested and the funny thing is we got it in November of 2006 and the box says "Made in Thailand"...NakedWhiz box says "Made in Indonesia" What is up with that? The product looks the same as what he tested and it behaves the same.

My experience with this lump has been...lots of ash, short burn time, and lots of smoke. The old lump was great...the newer stuff doesn't even compare.
