  2. Re: First Roti Chicken I have actually switced to cooking my roti-chicken over direct fire. I no longer have the heat deflector or a drip pan below the chickens. Skin comes out crisp and not burned. I cook at the same temp... 350.

    Re: 1st bacon Looks great. Do I see a yeast starter in an Erlenmeyer flask in the bacon picture? I have an Oatmeal Stout in my fermChamber (old fridge with homebuilt temp controller) right now.

  5. Re: Man! These house sparrows are vicious! I have been a Purple Martin landlord for years and I make it my duty to kill as many Sparrows as I can every year. Traps work very well baited with cracked corn or long dry strings of grass during nesting season. They are not protected and can be trapped & killed without any issue. They are non-native to the US and are a real problem for our native cavity nesting birds! You can find traps here http://purplemartin.org
  6. Update: I have used the Cobb several times now and it is a great small grill for camping & tailgating.

  9. Re: Smoke pot? Just drill 4 or 5 holes in bottom and you are good to go. Works just fine.

    Pheasant???

    I'm going to brine it for 24 hours, wrap it in bacon, & then throw it on the Roti!! I'll let ya know how it comes out....cooking it on Sunday.

  13. I tried out Dizzy Pigs Breaded wings this July 4th and everyone loved them!! After cooking I tossed some of them in some Kroger brand hot wing sauce and they were super. Almost like they had been deep fried.
  14. Probably because the producers said: "Not everyone has a KK, you need to show a regular old BBQ grill!"...or maybe the Today Show has some kind of deal with Weber and any time the do a BBQ spot they have to show a Weber. :P

  19. A long time friend of my father's was talked into buying an inferior product (by my Dad) before we knew about the great KK. As you can see the POSK is now on it's way to Cuba since our President has relaxed the restrictions!!! Soon (Steve) will be ordering a KK!!!
  20. I'm back!!!! I landed a job at Raytheon!!! Sort of a career change for me....I have been working for a week and love it. Thanks for the support.
