I like to save my bacon fat ...
Asian stores carry a cast iron device that is ribbed like a citrus squeezer/juicer and has a rim that catches the fat. It might work well for still getting the smoky flavor but retain fat away from the bacon as well. I just went to the cabinet to see where my wife put hers and it was not there otherwise I would post a photo of it. I will keep looking

Yes of course, but this is the worst possible place to make this order. My staff will never see this. Please send this request to [email protected] or my email.
Should I wait until the cabinets hits the USA or send you or the Customer Service Dept a note now?

They're cats. Since you haven't posted a rotisserie cat cook yet I'd say you're not torturing them. They'll eventually get use to it.
I'm tempted to try kitten kabobs soon but if I did Mrs skreef would probably follow with a reef rib cook - LOL - it'd be like that movie Fried Green Tomatoes except at the Bistro instead of the Whistle Stop Cafe.
Asians have recipes for dog but I never heard about cats. Lewis & Clark's expedition's men got to preferring dog to venison and buffalo hump and had to be convinced to give up the practice once they got back to civilization; no mention of cats.

The "Smooking" chunks is the Indo misspelling of Smoking chunks.. That box you have is not on the site but a gift from me.
At present, the Coffee Lump Charcoal in single boxes can only be shipped out with grills because the site undercharges charges on the UPS and to most places the delivery is more than the charcoal. The Coffee Lump Charcoal is always available if shipped on a palette by truck. Any volume or mix of charcoal is do-able.
These are the three sizes the smoking wood comes in. The smallest ones are for the KK Cold Smoker.
Dennis, is it possible to get some boxes of Coffee Wood Chunks and Coffee Wood Lump Charcoal shipped with the cabinet I have on order??

I though putting up a Thread where we could show the various weather situations we cook in.

I have one on order so I am really happy for you and your new cabinet and how good it looks!

Octopus used to be one of my favorites until a buddy of mine had an octopus for a pet. Those octopi are some kind of SMART! I got kind of attached to the little guy. Now I can't eat 'em.
Beautiful cook, @Pascalpro! Kudos.
So I guess baby octopus would not be on your menu?? Marinaded overnite in some mysterious vietnamese sauce that had garlic and lord knows what else

Just a bit of feedback on Trex. It's not 100% maintenance free. Over the last few years, I have developed a lichen problem on it. Have tried various treatments to eliminate it, but most recommended chemical treatments are so harsh that they'll kill everything it contacts, so I've just learned to put up with some of it. YMMV.
I had some new Trex bubble in the hot sun...

Science diet cat food, and dog food, is pretty good! I also found out that bears like it...

Last I heard NZ had electricity and refrigeration, but I could be wrong since everything spins backwards down there

4 hockey pucks with recesses cut out of the center , maybe with a lathe, and lift one leg at a time and slip the pick under it.
Or use the suggestion of Google, there are similar one there.

It's all gone. My wife took it all to the police department where she works and they destroyed it.
Sent from my iPad using TapatalkHope they didn't give it to the bomb squad for disposal! To nice a cook to go up with a bang...

I use my finger nail and drag it off the blade, from the dull edge to the sharp edge, so I can feel the burr that is left on the sharp edge. That will tell you which side need more honing.
I also have a Tormek system for really grinding and leather stropping the blade if it is in bad shape.

replace my Tel-tru dome thermometers with Thermoworks Smoke probes to give me remote monitoring of my dome temperatures. A totally lazy enhancement on my part. Wouldn't want to put down my adult beverage to get up and look at my dome temperatures - LOL
Cook a little then cook some more Share the food and cheer!

California Oak Bark, or hickory for beef, maple for pork and alder for chicken and fish.

It certainly is easier to put the splitter in when the basket is empty. I have reconfigured the splitter with charcoal in the basket and it takes a lot of messy fiddling. The second basket, if you have room to store it, makes sense.
I have the 32 so using 1/2 is what I normally do for our small family cooks.

On fire, capsizing at the dock, typhoons, it all makes for good theater

Welcome to the family. You're table setup is gorgeous. I think a rolling cart with underneath storage is a great idea. Eventually Dennis can give you the name of the boat that your KK is on. You can pull up tracking for the boat. Post the link then we all can watch as it comes to you.
I had not thought about that! I did it with my last car, so now I can watch the progress of the teak cabinet that will be coming!! Yeah!!

Tangles, that is a stunning, gorgeous table! Never heard of Jarrah Wood but I definitely will look it up. What color is the KK you ordered?
And no worries about the "Burn in", follow directions and you will be fine. Sort of like seasoning a masonry fireplace/chimney but doing it with beautiful tile work.
So what's on your KK for Memorial Day?

Ribeye that turned out great! Crusty exterior and a rare interior with a nice alder smoke flavor w/garlic, pepper and chili powder.
