  1. I'm glad it all worked out for you cruzmisl and hope your feeling better from you surgery! Now where's the pic's of those baby's backs.......
  2. I was looking at getting something to store the accessories also and came up with this cart which looked nice, but might be on the small side. Sure would like to come up with something for storage. http://www.exterior-accents.com/bicawgrtopwo.html
  3. Thanks a lot fellas, I finally got to cook on her this weekend. Done an 8lb pork shoulder. Started late Saturday night and ended late Sunday afternoon about a 16 hour cook a true low and slow cook. Very impressed with the cooker which seemed to be more efficient than my Viking ceramic. Truly love the quality of my new KOmodo. Look forward to picking up some extra accessories for her........
  4. Thanks for the helpful tips. What about the first fire up, anything I should do or be concerned about breaking it in?
  5. I do fertilize, but I think it's from all the rain we've been getting......
  6. Well I was able to get it unpacked in the rain and take a few pics in between the showers today. I must say I love the tile and the color. It has a lot of depth and looks beautiful! I can't wait to start doing some grilling. Hopefully the weather will be a little better this weekend.
  7. My new toy showed up in the driveway this morning and it's been pouring rain ever since the driver left. It's killing me that I can't open her up and play. Hopefully it will stop raining soon so I can get her unpacked and put on the back patio before the wife gets home. Will try to take some pic's if it clears up later. Real BUMMER!
  8. Great idea, looks like I'm heading to Home Depot! Thanks for sharing....
  9. Hello Everyone, Received the phone call yesterday and delivery will be Friday afternoon woo-hoo! Is there any precautions (do's or dont's) I need to know before stoking this bad boy up? Hate to mess things up after all the time it took me deciding. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  10. I wished it could fly, then I could get it sooner!!!
  11. Well it only took me a about year to find the one I wanted, but I knew I wanted one the day I came across this forum and read about the quality and customer service! This will be ceramic cooker number two for our family. Ceramic cooker number one was purchased a little over a year and a half ago (Viking C4) and left a bad taste in my mouth with there customer service so now it's the back up grill when we have larger get togethers. Can't wait to get this baby and start doing some smoking/grilling on her! Check'er out in the pic below, she's a beauty.............. And thanks Dennis for being patient with me and answering all my question over the past months. I look forward to hanging around here a little more now that I have my new komodo on it's way!
  12. Hi Firemonkey, My biggest problem is with the inner ceramic liner that attaches to the stainless lid. Due to the poorly designed shape of the ceramic top, it allows moisture to collect between the two which drips down on top of the stainless cart, making a huge mess on all low and slow cooks. Viking agreed that the last two inner ceramic liners they ordered for me were defective in shape. Waiting on a third and this all started over a year and half ago. They have one tech in customer service that travels around and covers a tri-state area. What a headache!
  13. I've learned my lesson the hard why, I purchased a Viking C4 ceramic cooker about a year and half ago. OMG! what a night mare. Customer service is the WORST I have ever seen. I've since learned a few things about ceramic cookers. I can't wait to replace the grill with a new cooker from Dennis and to stay away from anything that has a Viking name plate!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Re: Future KOmodos will be sent w/ the tube installed. Dennis, Please let me know when you start installing the machined tubes on the Komodos. The boss (my wife) give me the thumbs up to place my order! Thanks
  15. Dennis, Please keep me posted on the Autumn Nebula tile. I fell in love with that mistake tile with the black blotches in it. That would be the tile I would like when I order my new ceramic grill from you folks!
