  1. @Tony b, really like the basket move. Have any pointers to recreate? Assume it is just stainless 1/4” wire mesh? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. @Tekobo, not quite as fancy looking as Basher’s but I’ll be you can find this one in the UK. Lodge Chef Collection 11 Inch Cast Iron Chef Style Grill Topper. Seasoned and Ready to Infuse Food with Flavor on The Grill or Campfire. Made from Quality Materials to Last a Lifetime https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B087C94W6W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_kM2XFbJ0B7DTZ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I looked at a lot of these about 6 months ago. There was one pair that I recall giving the most heat resistance and had a “chart” of hold time. I think they were called Cool Bebe if I can read my own notes. I went The other route because I wanted something that was on the east to wash off grease, etc since I really wanted a couple of pairs for food handling and rest prep. @tekobo, I like that you are already coordinating outfits with your future gloves. Shows true commitment! Good news for the forum, I know nobody wants a look at me in leather chaps with a whip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I have the geekhom. These work well for handling meats, but I wouldn’t trust them grabbing a fiery coal. Not saying they couldn’t handle it, I’m just not sure I trust them. I also have the RAPICCA BBQ Gloves available on Amazon. I like these better for all purpose fiery coal and meat handling. That said, they don’t breathe so expect some sweaty arms under extreme heat Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Haha! Now that I know I may have to start a trend for the L-7s out here.
  6. @Pequod. I have not seen these posts. Anything I can search for to find them? I was leaning that way, but I am really keen on the vibrant blue and pebbles are no longer made in vibrant blue. I am surprised to read one of the other would have much more superiority for cooking. Would love to read more to understand.
  7. Thanks for the input all. Put in the order with Dennis for the Big Bad. Cannot wait.
  8. Worked with Dennis on an order for a big bad. The forum helped me choose that over ultimate. Excited to be a part of the club. If anyone has accessory suggestions, lmk. Only have the stone, and two SS side tables for now. Will be mostly low and slow and grilling, so mostly proteins. Will add a cover I’m sure, to keep that bad boy out of the snowy Michigan winters.
  9. I’m stuck making the same decision now. I talked to Dennis today. Honestly, I feel like I could go either way. My gut tells me to go for the Big Bad, but my brain says go with the ultimate. Not just the extra coin, but it is just me and my wife. That said, we live on an inland lake and entertain for 20-30 people at least 10 times a year. I’d be mostly low and slow, but if I went with the Big Bad, I’d probably kick the old Weber gas to the curb as well. Just need to wife to agree to that one since she is comfortable cooking on gas but not charcoal. how did it work out now that you have had it a couple of years? Are you getting use out of the extra space?
