  1. It is, indeed. Guy in Canada makes them, each piece of wood has two rare earth magnets in it to hang a knife in each slot. He also does a bunch of live edge from rare burls or woods that hang your knife on the side showing outward like most magnetic racks. I like his stuff, but there are plenty of magnetic options out there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. Decided to finally post my kitchen toys resting at home. The blue/green and purple/pink with burl are the 20cv chef/gyuto hybrid that I got for my wife and I mentioned in another thread. Not the best sharpener so I mostly use a KME but I also have a couple stones and try free hand, often use a strop. Those with a sharp eye will likely recognize a few of the others. 4. Every picture I’ve seen of the Autumn gold is amazing. It was very high on my list of top options. For me, the investment was enough money to wait for the color I wanted...not exactly any easy swap of you still have a bit of buyers remorse thinking the other color is what you’d want. That said, I have no doubt that every option that you think you’d like you will love. I can tell you from my experience, that while you are waiting you will experience some color choice anxiety either way. The idle time to look at all of the beautiful KKs as others receive them will do nothing but make you appreciate the other colors more. That didn’t make me regret my decision, but between placing my order and receiving it my top 3 favorite colors probably changed 3-4 times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. It will get fired up next week regardless of the snow situation. I’m hoping the snow melts but we’ll doing some driveway cooking if not. Today would have been the day but it’s my nephew’s birthday, so I’m off to Chicago to wish him a happy one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. @Tekobo The simplest way to put it...it’s easy to understand why you have 3. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. One step at a time. Not it’s final home or even with the tables yet, but she’s off the block and ready for fire soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Might be my favorite part of the packaging so far. How many positions does the latch have again [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Took a break phone conference calls to get a better look... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Dory is in the house!! No longer to be found. Too bad it will have to stay for a few weeks while I wait for this snow to melt a bit. Patience is a virtue they say, yes? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I can send a pic next week when I get mine, but this video came in handy when I was making my decisions. If you are doing Brazilian style mixed meats there is probably some accessory for the spit that would give you the best option for separate multiple spears. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I’m not nearly as young as Forrest, but I’ll have fun all the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I thought the same tony b. Tekobo rocking a Ferrari in the demolition derby. I’m not mad at you though tekobo, can’t say I wouldn’t want one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Yes. The man himself made a video on this one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Separate cold smoker port. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Have you become a two KK home or is older brother moving on and moving out? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Love it@Troble I’ve got her twin arriving on Monday. I’ll have to be patient with investing...there is about 15 inches of snow where it is supposed to live. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Waiting for the perfectionists and engineers to chime in and say no way, but my vote is you are probably fine unless the seal is really bad. You’d have some smoke sneak out the top and some smoke take the right path. The smoke that sneaks out is not the kind you want if you are taking the time to bother with the smoker pot. If you had a large hole or a lot of air flow through the pot, my answer would be different...because that wood would probably fire up instead of smolder and would not leave out of the correct path. Yeah, two should work. I’m guessing you’ll need to do some rearranging after the first pie is places or laser sharpen your skills to get the pie on the bottom stone under the top rack to make the magic happen. You’ll probably have it down by the third try. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Pictures with measurements of the baking stone...close measurements anyway, my straight lines were a little squirrelly when I took these as I was doing some shopping for more toys. The thing isn’t 32” but it is a beast when you are moving it around. I bought the heavy duty motor because I bought the cradle and plan to do full chickens, full turkey and full rib roasts a couple times a year. I’m not sure if I needed the heavy duty but went on the side of it’s better to have more power and never actual use it than to need it and not have it. Disclaimer: I don’t actually have my KK yet, so I can’t give advice, only sharing my thought process. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I bought a cast iron 2 quart and also plan to make a smoker pot. I’m going to try a different route than flour past though because I also don’t love the idea of extra prep and mess...bought a couple square washers and j bracket screws so I can tighten them around the handles and the washers flat over the lid to keep it nice and snug. I’ll let you know how it goes.
  23. You are going to be a sad man next visit...West Lake Drive In was sold this past year and the new owner has other plans for it. What is very cool though, is west lake is where I live. You’ve probably seen my house a dozen times, and never new it. If you ever happen to stop in for a French dip or some whitefish dip at Cove Lakeside Bistro next time you are in town, mine will be the one with a new vibrant blue 32” KK sitting out back between the two decks. (Hopefully I’ll have back there by then). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  25. @Pequod, I have thought this since joining the forum and not a better chance than now. But this used to be my favorite chicago style when I lived there. The cheese ring on the cast iron effect is something I’ve since replicated many times. https://m.yelp.com/biz/pequods-pizzeria-chicago Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
