  1. Nah, that was my bad, Dono. Behind the scenes I've badgered Dennis with emails trying to figure this out. He's been patient. After all, there's a disclaimer at the website that says these grills were forged by the gods, while I'm just a plebe staring at a pack of matches and a hunk of charcoal, but I absolutely love this grill! You were kind to answer my question and to have shared your cool trick with the packing foam! Anyway, thanks.
  2. Though I've never raised children, I imagine myself acting like a new parent with the first child! Judging by my question about something as simple as hanging tools from a bracket ... had I been a parent, I probably would have wrapped the first kid in bubble wrap, and made him wear a helmet. Thanks for the explanation, Dennis, and others. Tom
  3. Thanks! I'm still a neophyte at this stuff and, to me, the name side table hangers meant something from which to hang the side tables, perhaps having them slide out farther or something. I didn't see any info showing them installed and in use. Now I know, and I can happily hang tongs, forks, spatulas from my side table tool holders! Another convenient feature I'm glad to have.
  4. It appears to be exactly that! Thanks, Tom.
  5. Syzygies, thank you so much for the tip with the Dutch oven smoking! Please tell me, what is that flame thrower and where can I get one? Also, I have been using a chimney to light my charcoal. It's a bit messy. Do you start your charcoal that way, versus a chimney? Clearly here, yes, but is that the way to go? Thank you!
  6. Thanks Basher! To hold tongs but not racks? They would be too heavy for that weight concentrated on that small area of the tiles, I would assume. Gosh, I really love this grill! I've yet to had one disappointment! Every cook has turned out fantastic!
  7. Tony, I appreciate you checking on this for me and sharing a pic. BTW: I like the tagline/quote from Mae West. I'm adding it to my list of favorites. Thanks!
  8. I appreciate the fast replies! What a great forum. My concern is, if I hang them the way I believe intended, the horizontal crossmember will rest directly on the tiles. I'd love to see pics of this installed, just to be certain. Dennis has protected those tiles where stainless weight-bearing pieces meet tiles, by using a rubber backing. If these pieces are intended to hold the weight of a rack, without some sort of cushioning, that would be counter to provisions elsewhere in his designs. I don't want it to be a facepalm situation .... Whoops! Thanks all.
  9. Hi all, I don't know what these are or how they are used. Can anyone help? It appears they hang from the two holes on the sides of the side table brackets. However, when I attempt to utilize them that way, I can see a portion of them resting directly against the tile, which I believe would crack them, so I just put them aside for now. Help? Picture attached. Thanks, Tom
  10. Syzygies! Great info in there. I'll try the 4 mil bags next time. I have had a few 3 mil bags with air infiltration after sealing, versus the contents gassing out. The 4 mil will help avoid this. Good advice! Thanks!
  11. Tony, thanks for the fast response! All valid points. I'll take it off until ready for use.
  12. Thanks for showing the T connector! I was wondering about the second port on the pump. Do you leave the smoker connected to the KK, or should it be removed when not smoking with it? I'd like to see an instruction manual for this item.
  13. VacMaster VP215 Chamber Vacuum Sealing Machine Incredible machine. Expensive, but we're buying the best grills, right? We've had ours for nearly a year now and we wish we had purchased one sooner. Lisa Bilotta owns Vacuum Sealers Unlimited, and she has great customer service and fair prices. Highly recommend! https://vacuumsealersunlimited.com/shop/commercial-chamber-vacuum-sealing-machines-accessories-parts/vacmaster-commercial-vacuum-sealing-machines/vacmaster-vp215-chamber-vacuum-sealing-machine/
