  1. Re: Two KKs going to Luanda, Angola.. Several years ago I had to have a gas compressor turbine flown to Angola. It took the entire cargo bay of a 747 Combi. Price wasn't cheap, and was not an issue at that time.
  2. Re: To Rotis or Not To Rotis This is the plug in the tube for the Stoker blower attachement This is the plug removed
  3. Re: To Rotis or Not To Rotis Having trouble uploading the photos. Will get them up as soon as I can.
  4. Re: To Rotis or Not To Rotis My new KK just came with a stainless steel plug with 2 silicone o-rings that is the same size as the Stoker. I agree, the Stoker is not airtight when off, so to shut the KK down, I remove the fan unit and insert the plug that cam with the KK.
  5. My new KK arrived around lunch time. Took a while to get it moved and unpacked as I did have any help. Also got one of the teak cabinets that Dennis upgraded (for a price) with all stainless steel insides. Just finished some steaks as it was late. Dark olive and gold pebble.
  6. Re: KK *should* be here by the weekend! Dennis just sent a note that the grills have been released and will be shipped out today.
  7. Re: Secret Tracking Device? I got a note from Dennis on Sunday that it had arrived, but not released from Customs yet. fingers crossed
  8. Re: KK *should* be here by the weekend! Mine is also in Custom, waiting on them to release it. Hope to have it by the weekend.
  9. Re: New KK On Its Way To Peterborough Ontario Canada! Dennis sent me an update on mine last week and it was due to US on 20th. He posted today that one shipment had arrived and cleared customs, but not released yet. hope that is the one mine is in.
  10. Re: Secret Tracking Device? Dennis wound not give me a secret code, buy mine is ETA to the US on July 20th. Hope Customs clearance doesn't take too long.

    Bison

Re: Bison I eat a lot of bison steaks and they are always tender and with much less fat. Let me know how the brisket turns out as there are several bison ranches near where I am retiring to at the end of next week, and it is readily available, but expensive. I have just found a place that has organic Wagyu brisket, may have to splurge on that one as a way to christen my KK when it arrives in a couple of weeks.
  12. Re: 4th of July 2011 You guys are making me hungry as I don't get a 4th this year. In Russia for 11 more days until my retirement, and my KK is on the Pacific due to arrive about a week after I do in the US. A big salute to all our guys and gals protecting us in Iraq and Afganastan.
  13. Re: Just in time for the summer... Here's a picture of the large one Mine is due to ship this week. Dennis is making a modification that he will have to explain.
  14. Re: First anniversary of my 50th Birthday! Firemonkey, I agree. I am retiring next month at 59.5. Everyone says I don't look that old. My reply, I don't feel that old. I like the mental age better.
  15. Re: First anniversary of my 50th Birthday! Happy Birthday, anxiously awaiting my new toy. You are working with some wonderful people, the Indonesians. I worked with them for 9 years and some of my best years.
