  1. #9 otb? I didn't realize that there were so many people named Dennis here. If anyone here ever had a kamado from the other company, they would realize the 1 feature that was pretty cool, and that was to be able to keep the top ajared 1-4 inches by the turn of a cotter pin. It comes in pretty handy and actually does a better job of searing than keeping the lid closed and cranking it up. No damage will be done to either grill. I have been cooking with ceramics for over 20 years so I do have some experience here.
  2. Hey Dennis, Is it possible to make a #9 komado kamado otb? The only feature the other company has that I like other than the size difference is the ability to cook with the lid ajared about 2-4 inches. Is it possible to make the spring with a click contraption that will allow us to adjust how much we want to keep the top open for searing on the top grill? Hope all is well with you!
  3. C'mon, no one is interested? Do I have to come down a little in price?
  4. I have a mint blue otb supreme in blue tile (I believe it's jre 3443) for sale. Why is it for sale you ask? My pain in the ass wife wants a different color so the faster I sell it I can order a new one from Dennis. So if I can keep 2 grills on the deck at once, I will try to appease her. I will not ship this bad boy because you all know the weight so local pickup only! It is in perfect condition and comes with all the updated grills, not even used yet. I am asking $1800.00. My name is Bill and you can reach me on my cell at 203-536-4720. If you have been on the fence about these cookers, you are more than welcome to come and try before you buy. Thanks, Bill
  5. Do you folks refer to the pizza stone as a heat deflector? I am trying to figure out if they are one in the same. I received my OTB supreme what looks like a pizza stone, possibly a tad thicker so I was wondering if they are one in the same. . Also if they are one in the same and you use it as a heat deflector should you cover it with tin foil if you are cooking something that will drip grease? Thanks for your help
  6. I forgot to ask you if that is a #7 kamado? If so, it should fit my otb
  7. where did you get that cover for your kamado? Do you think it would fit one of Dennis's otb supremes
  8. I received my OTB supreme in vibrant blue and it is nothing short of stunning. I have a black textured #7 from Richard and Co. and this thing is far superior. The workmanship is awesome. The stainless steel is incredible, the top damper actually works fantastic and is so much easier to spin and the spring loaded top is ingenious. Now my wife can actaully use the grill because she doesn't have to lift a finger to get the top up. Anyone who is thinking of getting one of these shouldn't wait. It is the most incredible grill you will ever see. Thanks Dennis for all your help, customer service, and for making a true work of art! This thing is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. hey Dennis Is my otb supremed being shipped on Friday coming with this grate? Let me know. Hope all is well. BillyG.
  10. no not yet. I have some very interested parties though. I have a new fire box and cermaic grate being sent so that the new person has a pretty new grill that just needs t to do a band adjustment
  11. I think the reason people are giving praise is because the company is located in Indonesia and 99.9 % of the people can't use a kamado before they buy one so other members of the forum are giving praise in order to help others feel comfortable with the purchase. I agree with you Gerard that a good company is suppose to retrurn phone calls, respond to e-mails, and stand behind their product and warranty and that constant praise of this kind of customer care is something that we shouldn't have to talk about. However, if it wans't for this forum and doing my homework online (ebay feedback) etc... I would still be on the fence about this product. I think over time these kind of posts will go away and will occasionally be asked by a new potential customer. I am looking foward to more posts about cooking tips and recipes but am patient, afterall this is a brand new forum and a new company so these kinds of things are going to be discussed anyway. regards, BillyG
  12. gerard Apology totally accepted. I guess that I am trying to help out this forum so that it gets as strong as the other and is as beneficial to everyone who wants to be apart of it. Again, apology accepted. BillyG.
  13. gerard Hey Gerard, I can't tell if you are a friend or a foe by all your sarcasm. If you are a friend to Dennis and this forum, it would be great if you allowed people to answer the questions who were addressed in the original post. It would give more credibility to this forum which would help Dennis out alot so that once all questions are answered he doesn't have to spend hours returning e-mails. I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but it seems you answer or respond to every post and it is a waste of alot of peoples times who are trying to get as much info from this forum as possible. I have been using cereamics for numerous years and have a #7 from Kamado (rj) and have been very unhappy with the quality so that is why I am here. I apologize if I misinterpreted your tone and sentiment, and if you are being sarcastic is a positve way than I can handle it. BillyG.
  14. Although I havn't received my new otb supreme in Vibrant Blue, dealing with Dennis has been outstanding. Customer service at its finest!!!! Payment is very easy and the transaction went very smoothe !!! I will admit it is very nerveracking to send money to someone you havn't met before and who is on theohter side of the world. However, it couldn't have been better. If anyone has or had any doubts, let me assure you things will be just fine and you will be completely satisfied. Thanks again Dennis for all your help answering all of my questions and other people's questions. Top notch experience all the way. Regards, Bill Gerardi
  15. Hello Dennis I quess I interpreted the "speed" with a little anxiety. I apologize for that. Can you give me a call regarding the e-mails I sent you. The number I left is my cell phone and is the best way to reach me. If you get this message this morning, please call me while i am infront of the computer so that I can cross reference my questions to forum pictures and data.. I am very excited to hear about your kamado. Regards, Bill Gerardi 203-536-4720
  16. Dennis, What is the best way to contact you via telephone? I have numerous questions about your K and also about distribution. I left a few e-mails and called numbers I found on the forum but aren't having any luck. Regards, Bill Gerardi 203-536-4720 connecticut
