    Spritz Bottle

Re: Spritz Bottle The Container Store is my recommendation.
  2. Re: Temperature Probes I also have the older ET7 Maverick model and it has worked like a charm. No issues with the display or probes. I normally use it for dome temp on low and slow cooks so this is less demanding on the probes. When the new KK comes it will get a workout so will be lurking here for a replacement so I'm ready when it isn't.
  3. Re: Xmas party Butts I'm salivating.......look fantastic!
  4. Re: kk tool accessories I use thick leather welding gloves I bought at Harbor Freight or Home Depot (or was it Nordstroms?) Can pick up the hot grate or even hot coals without burning myself. Welding involves temp's well over 1,000 degrees so these babies are right at home with the KK.
  5. Re: Coals take how Long??? I starved a hot fire in my Kamado one time and opened it and it flashed big time. Burned my hand pretty bad. Now I use a welding glove under similar conditions. I viewed some YouTube videos where they purposely created these conditions and I'm surprised my burns weren't worse! A small dose of common sense is all it takes....... Here is a link:
  6. Re: lighting the grill Big difference in before/after pic's. I did the same with my Kamado and it didn't burn off which demonstrates a big difference in the KK ceramic material vs. the Richard Johnson Portland cement posing as ceramic. Can't wait to get the new KK!!!!
  7. Re: Another KK in Frisco You being on the left coast will probably take ownership sooner so can't wait to hear....pls post lots of pics and congrat's to you too!
  8. Just wired some of my hard earned money to Dennis in exchange for a 23" KK wammer jammer with a hammer slammer AKA dark autumn nebula. I have a couple names picked out but will not finalize until after the burial of my 9 yr old Kamado (a Richard Johnson disappointment). I wanted to thank Smoke for allowing me to drop by his place in Frisco, in a rainstorm, to check out his KK. I could tell it broke his heart to pull off the custom blue cover and expose the shiny blue tiles to mother nature. He probably toweled it off and put the cover back on when the Mrs. and I departed......I know I would have! As soon as I saw Smokes KK I was sold. The precision fit and finish. The food grade silicon gasket. The stunning looks. The one handed lid opening. The TX size amount of stainless steel.....Makes my old Kamado look crude! Just ordered the cover from John too so all I need is the KK! I look forward to being part of the KK community! McSmoke
