DavidS Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 I am sorry Dennis but I have discovered a flaw in the BEST COOKER IN THE WORLD. The good thing is I also found a way to fix the problem that is not to costly. The damper moves sooooooooooooooo easy that the Kansas winds catches the ears on the damper and move it closed. Attached is a picture of my way of solving the problem. Quote
mrnitpicky Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 What's that silver cable coming out of the top? grant Quote
leejp Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 What's that silver cable coming out of the top? grant Let me guess... it's a light but the perspective of the photo makes it look like it's coming out of the cooker. These smaller digital cameras have incredible dof which can be a problem. Quote
Curly Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 OHhhh, I thought he had installed some sorta peep-hole so he could check out the food as it cooked without opening the top. Quote
Firemonkey Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 I thought is was some sort of snake cam that DJ cooked up. I feel better now - I thought DJ may have been holding out on us. Quote

ThreeDJ16 Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 If it is the same one I have, it is a LED flex light with a magnetic/clip on base sold at Lowes (just a quick guess here). I like it a lot! -=Jasen=- Quote
Firemonkey Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 I have the same one...made by BBQ Grillware. Lowes sells them for about $19, but I have seen them at BJs for less than $10. Pretty good light output from the LEDs, but dont leave it in the elements. Mine started showing some rust after about 10 days of being left outside. Quote
DavidS Posted March 14, 2007 Author Report Posted March 14, 2007 DJ and firemonkey are right it is a led light clamped onto the deck rail. Works great. Quote
