cruzmisl
HI All, I need a new rotiserrie motor for my EZ Que and was curious if there are other options available? It seems they are charging a lot of money for a roti motor. I think I'm going to go with an AC motor for a bit more power. Having said that I don't want garbage either but I'm thinking the EZ Que may be proprietary with Dennis' design. Thanks, Joe
Firemonkey
I dont have the rotis, but I think they are fairly standard. I recall DrunkJ telling me (maybe even posting about) using an old Wal-Mart motor for a while. Why not just go down to Lowes or Home Depot and get a motor, if it doesnt fit, you can return it. DennisLinkletter
Motors.. From looking at the photos of motors online only, it seems that the mounting bracket and drive socket are pretty standardized.
cruzmisl
Thanks for the replies. I already have the EZ Que. THe AC pin is all green and doesn't work anymore and the screws that hold it together are seized and I can't get it apart to replace it. I'll see what I can find at the big boxes and post when I know something.
primeats
I swapped out the rotis motor from my gasser, it works pretty good, you just have to make sure that the holes are aligned so the shaft will spin properly
U2PLT
EZ-Que They have a motor that has "302" as model #. It is 50# rated, is SS, and rotates counter clockwise so that it is not trying to unfasten from the bolt holders. It runs a little slower because of its 50# rating. I have one and has worked great. It will fit all the KK fittings. All though more costly it SS and has nice capacity. You can fit two 14 # turkeys on the 8" basket and this motor handles it with no problem, I have done it.
