Fetzervalve
Nice, did you build it yourself?
mguerra
Production Not a kit plane. That's a Lancair Columbia 350, the fifth one off the production line. It is now a Cessna product, the 350 Corvalis, since Cessna bought Lancair Certified. Lancair kit plane company is separate and still extant. Sanny
When I was a kid, dad had a Piper Comanche. I was copilot - except I'd fall asleep after take off. lol Looked like this one, except he had it painted off white, with gold and brown pin striping. Very pretty. LarryR
The next communty east of mine has a Sky Park, my 8yo son and I enjoy going there on "fly-in" weekends, checking out all the planes. If you're into personal aircraft seems like it would be a great place to live, walk out your door and hop in your plane and you're off. I haven't been an active pilot since my oldest (14) daughter was born, but was a homebuilder before that. (nothing like a Lancair though...) I would like to get back into it someday, lining up and flying the approach is one of the greatest feelings.
mguerra
RV-10 We also have a Grumman Tiger. Well, Vans has the RV-10 kit which is basically the same plane, but WAY faster! On the same motor. Check it out:http://www.vansaircraft.com/public/rv-10int.htm
DennisLinkletter
Sweet rides.. Growing up my father had a Beechcraft Baron and a Helio Courier short take off and landing bush plane.. First one went fast, second one could fly at 28 miles an hour and land on a fence post.. My brother in law built and flies this Wheeler Express composite with a Lycoming, V8 engine.. really gets up and goes.

I think it spooked a lot of people, no doubt that was the beginning of the end.
