Hello! I'm Michael from Kansas, Land of OZ! :D

I have done lots of research on the Komodo/Kamado, and I currently own a Green Egg. While I do really enjoy it, I have noticed the features and excellant workmenship of the Komodo grill. WOW!...what a machine! :D

My wife and I hope to order one of these Beast soon. We just bought a Procom 4, power draft controller for the smoker we currently own. My Hat's off to Dennis, for the excellent customer service he is known for as well! This looks like a swell place to hang out too! :)

It is a swell place to hang out and welcome! Get a few more posts and a few days registered under your belt and send some pics of your latest cooks to the KK forum! The more you hang out, the more fun you will have - and the more likely you'll be moving to a KK! :D

Welcome Screaming Eagle..

Welcome to the forum and thanks for the Kudos..

Please feel free to jump in with both feet, we don't care what you're cooking on. We're mostly food addicts and BBQ junkies who love seeing good Food Porn.. So please post your next cook..

When the time comes and you're ready to step up..

I'll be there for you.

Once again.. Welcome

Nice choice on the Procom4, I love mine. Now you just need a KK to simply plug it into (ports already installed).

Hello Gentlemen! We are here to stay, as we love BBQ! I have had more fun than a barrel of monkeys since we started smoking meats on the egg.

I love my toys, but my rule is that they must reek of quality and the customer service must be top notch. We bought a 2008 Screaming Eagle Road King Harley, Tempur-Pedic bed, Biggreenegg, all of which are built well. I have been wanting to upgrade my grill/smoker for quite some time, and we have gotten the most pleasure out of the Grilling/ Smoking. Plus, everyone can share the end product.

I must be honest and say that we will also be buying a vertical smoker as well as the Komodo/Kamado, since we entertain a lot here at the house. These Kamado units are just beautiful, and they work to perfection as well! Again, my hats off to Dennis, as I have read hundreds of post about his company and the customer support. All of it is positive! If I had my way I would buy one for each of my kids, as they will certainly last several life times.

Dennis, please promise us, that you wont ever cheapen the product in order to please the Stock owners! :D I still have lots of questions, and will post them in the right place here in the near future.

Thank you all for your replies and the warm welcome.

SE :D

Drunk J, you are one of the reasons that we bought the Procom 4, as I looked at your comments about it several times before I pulled the trigger on it. I have health issues (Double Lumbar Fusion L4-L5, L5-S1) Since, I sleep in the basement, I hate to keep climbing the stairs to check on a unit that really does not need to be checked on! :D

Now it will be nice to just pick up the controller and take a peek while still in my jama's!

Welcome

Welcome Screaming, pulled the trigger on my KK about 3 months ago and I can tell you everything you say regarding quality and customer service is true. Dennis even called me the evening my KK arrived just to make sure I was happy. How many company presidents will do that and from 1/2 around the world?

Like you, I had many questions regarding the KK and the members of this forum couldn't have been more helpful. Dennis too, we had a couple of early morning (Dennis' time) calls during my decision making process.

Look forward to your participation on the forum and I'm happy to answer any questions you may have from a new KK owners perspective.
